(Disclaimer: Fair warning right now, this one might be a long one so buckle up people)
Last time, after receiving his starter Pokémon, Lincoln, now referred to as Chrome, has made way to Santalune City with his partner Drago the Charmander. Before arriving however, the two first managed to catch more members for their team in the form of a Ledyba and a Budew. Now having passed the gate, and Leveling his team up, they have arrived to the bustling Santalune City.
Chrome: "We're here, Drago! Let's go find a place to rest up."
Nodding in agreement, Drago climbs onto his partner's shoulders as they traverse the city streets, passing by numerous people and Pokémon enjoying themselves. Chrome glances at the separate roofs of each building they pass by, seemingly looking for one in particular.
Chrome: "...Red roof red roof red roof......There it is!"
He finds the right building he was looking for, a large building with a red roof and a Pokeball symbol on it. He remembers that this is called a Pokémon Center, a facility in almost every town in Kalos, where he can heal his whole team, purchase items at a shop, and even rent a room to rest up. Chrome enters through the sliding doors to see numerous Trainers and their Pokémon relaxing in the main lobby. He arrives at the front desk where a woman with reddish pink hair in a nurse's outfit stood behind it alongside a large egg-shaped Pokémon.
Nurse Joy: "Hello and welcome to the Santalune City Pokémon Center! My name is Nurse Joy. How may I be of service?"
Chrome: "Hi, I heard that I could have my Pokémon healed here?"
Nurse Joy: "That's correct sir! In Pokémon Centers such as this, we medical staff and our Pokémon ensure our patients receive quick and proper attention."
Chrome: "That's great! Can you heal my Pokémon please?"
Nurse Joy: "Certainly! I will just need to see your Trainer card for identification. From there, you just place your injured Pokémon's Pokeballs in this tray and we will do the rest while you wait in the main lobby."
Reluctantly, Drago returns into his Pokeball, as Chrome gives his card to the nurse and places the his team's Pokeballs on the tray as instructed. Once his ID was confirmed, she instructs him to have a seat in the main lobby on his right while he waits. After trekking for hours, Chrome finally relaxes by leaning back on a couch.
Chrome: "Finally, a chance to catch my breath....."
As he eases into the couch, for some reason, his mind goes back to a far from fond memory. He closes his eyes as he recalls all of the past events leading to his....permanent disownment. The words "Bad Luck" echo in his mind over and over as he opens his eyes at the ceiling. He can vaguely remember some of the things leading to that very day....
???: ...If it wasn't for you, my team and I would've won!...
No...
???: ...I don't want your bad luck rubbing off on me!...
