Episide 10 - Revelations

We start the episode with Maggie getting to the tree to save Clark. She tells him not to worry because she phoned the police on the way over here to save him, and when she attempts to get Clark untied from the tree, Maggie accidentally leaks out Clark's internal organs, killing him. She is then attacked by the killer.

Later that night everybody begins to show up for Brooke's Halloween party, at first the party is fine as Emma, Noah and Audrey show up. Some of the guests are outside in the pool partying, but Noah decides he wants to watch the original Halloween movie.

Audrey takes Emma outside and shows her Rachel's video of Nina and Kieran at the bar. Emma is in denial, bringing up how we all have things on tape that make us look bad, referencing the video with Audrey. Audrey still tells Emma she can't trust Kieran. Jake shows up, and starts hitting on one of the party guests, Ava. He enters the front room, and Brooke says she doesn't remember inviting him to the party, and he says he is the party, him and Ava sit down together.

Jake kisses Ava in front of Brooke, and while she and Noah watch Halloween, Jake starts to make remarks about Jamie Lee Curtis from the Halloween movie, about wanting to see her breasts, doing everything he can to get a rise out of Brooke.

Ava goes outside to get another beer, and Brooke gets annoyed, and takes herself out of the situation by going down to the wine cellar to get more beer, Jake comes down, and he reveals that it was him who was watching her undress on the webcam, she tells him to leave and he does.

Outside, the argument between Audrey and Emma continues, Emma says she couldn't believe Kieran did it any more than Audrey killing Nina. Audrey says we'll have to agree to disagree and storms off to the back garden to have some alone time. Emma gets a call from Piper who tells Emma she went back to Cassie because something struck her as odd and Piper showed her the yearbook and said Seth Branson/Palmer wasn't the one who came to visit her and Cassie pointed out Kieran as the one who came to visit, after saying this Piper screams down the phone and Emma hears a crash from the phone and from down the road/in the woods, Noah (who is still watching Halloween) also hears it and comes outside to investigate, Emma is worried and Noah goes with her to investigate the noise/crash.

Ava enters the front room, to see its empty, so goes back outside shouting Jake's name. She walks past Audrey who is sitting angrily alone. Ava walks to the outback toilet, and when she opens the door, the killer is standing in there, and Greyson's body is on the floor, Ava screams, and the killer leaps towards her and stabs her in the throat. The other party guests scream and run away, Audrey sees what's going on and runs to try and help Ava, but the killer over powers her, grabs her by the neck and throws her to the floor and gets on top of her, when Audrey asks the killer "What are you waiting for?" the killer apparently stabs her.

Brooke returns with two wine bottles upon realizing everyone is gone. She hears a noise and comes back inside with the wine bottles. She sets them down on the table and then Seth Branson, now escaped attempts to get in the Maddox household, but is unable to due to Brooke locking the doors. When he asks Brooke to let him in, Brooke refuses believing that he is the killer, despite his attempts to explain that he was framed. A brief blackout suddenly appears and when the power comes back on, Branson is gone and The Killer is there. Brooke grabs one of the wine bottles and runs, The Killer breaks into the house and chases Brooke, she throws the wine bottle at him, and then tries to hide in the workshop, but quickly climbs in the freezer. The killer hears her and locks her inside, also stabbing into it, leaving Brooke bloody and injured, the killer also turns the freezer on before leaving her for dead.

Emma and Noah find Piper's van in the woods, it's smashed up because she crashed into a tree, and Piper is laying in there bloodied up and dead. Emma then gets a call from the killer, the killer taunts her and tells her, he ran her off the road and has killed Clark. Noah grabs the phone from her and hangs it up, they return to the house.

Back at the party, as Emma and Noah try to find everyone and warn them, Kieran suddenly shows up at the party armed with his gun. Emma asks him about the Nina video, Kieran tells her the day before school started he had a fight with his dad. So Kieran got into a bar and saw Nina, who was really drunk. Nina said she was 23 and Kieran offered to call her a cab. She insisted she could drive herself, so Kieran took her keys and drove her home. He says she asked him to come inside, but he rejected. Emma still says she doesn't believe him and Kieran says Seth won and then Emma reveals that his dad didn't make it, and that the killer told her he/she had killed his dad. Kieran's reaction seems real since he is shocked about his dad, and tells them to help him find the killer before he hurts anyone else.

The three of them continue to try and find the others, and Jake turns up, he hears sounds coming from the workshop, and they find Brooke locked inside the freezer and let her out. Jake stays with Brooke while Noah, Emma and Kieran try to find Audrey.

When they leave the workshop, they go to the back door to check outside, and when they unlock the back door, the killer comes bolting towards them, Emma tries to close the door but he manages to barge inside, and as all three of them run upstairs, Kieran is caught and stabbed in the back from behind, Emma and Noah watch in horror as Kieran is stabbed by the killer. They both run into Brooke's bedroom, she tells Noah to hide under the bed and don't come out until she comes and gets him, and then goes onto Brooke's balcony, the killer manages to kick through the bedroom, and Emma has no choice but to jump, but she lands on the covered boat and recovers and runs to the front of the house.

Audrey, comes stumbling from around the side of the house with a knife in her back, and Emma tries to help her, but Audrey mumbles "run". Emma runs back inside and the phone rings... she answers and the Killer tells Emma that she has kidnapped her mother, Maggie Duval. In order to get her back, she must meet him at Wren Lake, alone, threatening to kill Maggie and more people if she does not comply.

Emma does so and at the lake, Emma finds Maggie tied up in a chair at the docks and rushes to her. But before she can free Maggie, the killer appears and Emma demands to know his identity. Seeing no further reason to conceal the truth anymore, The Killer slowly reaches up for the mask and removes it. The Killer is finally revealed to have been always been Piper Shaw (she faked her death in her van), shocking both Emma and Maggie. Piper explains that she had been behind all of this from day one. She reveals that her real father is Brandon James; she was the baby that Maggie had sent away for adoption and never gotten to know. Upon finding out about this, she has always viewed Maggie as the true "monster" for her part in getting Brandon killed. She was also jealous of how she was sent away for adoption while Emma had the perfect life. She vowed to make them both pay for it all. Emma asks why she had killed her friends since they didn't have anything to do with Brandon's death. She replies that all that was meant to do was make Emma suffer which she had enjoyed greatly, disgusting Emma.

Piper goes on to explain that Branson is tied up in the trunk of her car, whom she intends to frame for the murders. Piper continues to say that she will make up a story that Branson had killed Emma and Maggie but not before Emma fatally stabs Branson. Eventually, Emma gets angered enough to attempt to attack Piper with a knife she had hidden behind her back, only to be viciously slashed across the stomach (Piper knew she had the knife all along), critically injuring her. Piper continues to rant on how Emma is so "predictable" and that she will kill Emma in front of Maggie and then leave Maggie to die after stabbing her. Maggie manages to free herself from her binds due to Emma's efforts and tackle Piper to the floor but is in turn stabbed in the stomach. Piper then goes on to attack Emma, repeatedly attempting to slash her some more. Soon enough, Piper injuries Emma further and holds her at knifepoint.

Piper tells Emma that she has one more surprise to share and that she'll "never see it coming" but before she can say what it is, she is shot in the chest by Audrey with Kieran's gun, causing Piper to fall into the lake. Audrey explains that she had gotten her hands on the gun when Kieran handed it to Noah but Audrey took it from him as she knew how to use it. She saw Emma running to the woods and followed her she then found them all at the dock. She then comments "bitch talks too much". Piper survives and begins to climb back up the dock for one last attempt to kill them. Emma notices this and she shoots Piper in the head before she can attack, finally killing her and ending the killings.

The following morning, Maggie is sent to the hospital while it is revealed to the world that Shaw was the murderer and Audrey saved Emma from near death. Luckily, when Audrey was stabbed it didn't cause any major damage (coincidence?), and it is revealed Audrey had letters from Shaw talking about something, implying that Audrey was killing people with her (likely the secret that Piper tried to tell Emma). However, she burns them, now redeeming herself and covering up her "involvement".
