Chapter 4: Cozy Home

Shawn's POV:

I'm such an idiot! I didn't ask him where he lived but now he's standing right in front of me! It's just been 2 two days but it feels like I haven't seen him for weeks.

"Oh, yeah my bad..." I whispered mostly to myself and blushed again. I probably look like a tomato and I hate them!

"What?" Ethan asked with a smile causing me to look at his grey eyes.

"Nothing, where do you live exactly by the way?" I questioned a little bit too excited.

"Pickering what about you?" he asked back.

"COOL!" wow Shawn that was a harsh answer "I live there too." I added and this time I tried to control but failed anyways. His eyes lightened up and he started to smile. This kid had the most adorable smile I've ever seen. What am I thinking? Am I starting to like him? There's no way I could start having feelings for guys... for a guy... for him?

"Still there?" Ethan waved in front of my face.

"Hm? Yeah." I said while I scratched the back of my head and he let out the cutest giggle I've ever heard! -Stop Shawn! You're doing it again. I quickly shook it off.

"Do you wanna hang out with me again?" he asked kindly.

"Sure!" I replied and we continued with our little talk we've started 2 days ago but this time, I don't have leave early! In fact, I don't want to leave ever again. Something's dragging me to him, I'm curious about his personality, can I really relate myself with him?

He stopped walking as he noticed someone was calling him. He looked at me with his puppy eyes like he was asking for permission and I nodded. We sat down on a bench next to us and he started to talk with the other person on his phone. I could figure out that the person he was talking to was a girl and I don't know but as soon as I've realized it, I felt something in my chest but ignored it.

He started to giggle here and there with her and I was getting curious who this person was. Soon he ended his conversation with "See you".

I didn't want to ask him with whom he was talking to but thank God he revealed it.

"My older sister Hazel." He said and I somehow let out a small sigh of relief I didn't know I was holding. Wow we do have a lot in common. Well he has an older sister unlike me but a sibling is a sibling right? No Shawn now you're exaggerating it. I thought to myself.

"Do you have any siblings?" he questioned while he was staring at the ground.

"Yeah, a younger sister Aaliyah" I answered.

"She must be annoying sometimes I assume." He laughed.

"Sometimes" I answered with a nervous giggle.

"I feel you bro!" he laughed as he put his hand on my shoulder, sending chills through my entire body. This guy's affecting me way too much!

"Hey do have something else planned for the rest of the day?" he suddenly asked.

"N-no?" I hesitated and tried to study his facial expression.

"I've shown you a small part from the UK... I thought I could show you my place too since we live not far away from each other." He stated and slowed down at the end of the sentence. "Only if you want to" he added and... blushed?

"Sounds great!" I tried not to shout it out.

"So... that's a yes?" he asked again just to be sure.

"Yes haha." I replied, causing him to blush again. "I just need to let my mom know" I added and he nodded.

I took my phone and dialed my mom's number.

"Hey sweetie, are you already done?" she asked kindly.

"Yeah, mom but I got a question..." I hesitated at the end.

"Yes? Is something wrong Shawn?" she sounded already worried.

"No, I'm fine, I just wanted to ask you if I could go to a friend's house." I questioned.

"Sure you can" she replied in relief.

We continued for a couple seconds before she hung up and that's the moment I've realized that I'm going to his place. I somehow felt anxious and nervous but tried to ignore it once again.
After 15 minutes of walking we arrived at his place. It was a nice cozy house, not too big or too small. I had to laugh as soon as stood in front of his porch causing him to look at me confused.

"What's so funny? Not fancy enough for you?" he teased and I shook my head.

"Well now I'm curious, what's so funny Shawn?" he asked and the last word made me melt away.

"My house is literally around the corner" I smiled at him and pointed at the barely visible roof of my house not far away.

"Really?! That's a badass coincidence" he shouted surprised.

"I've never seen you" I asked him, causing him to scratch the back of his head.

"Yeah we've just moved in four months ago." He stated and unlocked the door. He gestured with his hand to let me in and his house was really modern on the inside. Not super modern but you could see that they've bought some new furniture.

"Cozy" I said mostly to myself, causing him to giggle while he closed the door.

"My mom's a lawyer so we have more than enough money I guess" I confessed and he was right with the money part. There were a lot of decorations that seemed modern and especially the kitchen was impressive. I sound like a wife.

"If the kitchen's already impressed you, then you gotta see this." He said as he walked by and I followed him to a door which lead downstairs to his basement. My eyes widened and my jaw dropped. Ethan started to scratch the back of his head again, I think he does this every time when he feels embarrassed.

"Seriously?! That's a huge screen!" I shouted as I walked to the screen just to compare its size with myself. It was really huge and he got a big couch right in front of it. Next to the couch was a pool table.

"I wonder if you got a Jacuzzi too." I joked and looked at him but he didn't say anything. He just let out a nervous laugh.

"You're not gonna tell me that..?" I wasn't sure if I was right but he did this head scratch thing again and gestured me to follow him upstairs. We went to the other side of the house which probably leads us to the backyard. He had two big doors with glass which opened up to a big backyard with a pool and a Jacuzzi. This boy has seriously a pool, Jacuzzi and a small home cinema!

"Your mom works pretty hard I guess" I said as I noticed that I haven't seen her yet.

"Yup, she's really busy and I see her only every morning but that's okay." He shrugged with his shoulders.

"We should go inside, it's getting cold" he said as he closed the doors and we were heading upstairs to his bedroom I guessed.
