“Lexxxxxxxxxiiiii” An annoying high pithed voice yelled into my room followed by someone jumping on my bed. I didn’t even have to look up from under my extremely warm covers to know who that annoying voice belonged to. In one swift motion I positioned my foot next to him and I kicked him right off the bed. A loud thump had echoed through the room ad his body came in contact with the hard wood floor.
“Owwie” He mumbled “Get your lazy butt up, we are going to be late for school” he stated while pulling my blankets off of me. Goosebumps immediately started to rise on my skin as the cold breeze coming from my window came in contact with it. “Hey give them back, it’s freezing in here” I whined while trying to grab my blankets back. “Nope” He said while popping the “p” and sticking his tongue out at me.
“You know you have school today and dad will literally kill you if you don’t show up again. And plus you my ride to school.” He stated while throwing my blankets in the corner. “You really think I care about what dad has to say?” I stated cockily while smirking at him. “You will when he takes your precious car away” He said teasingly while smirking back.
Well that wiped the smirk off my face “Ughhh fine” I grumbled while crawling out of my warm cozy bed. “Good girl” He laughed while patting my head like a three year old and shoving me into the bathroom. “Shut up, and don’t pat my head like a three year old” I glared at him while flicking his forehead and walking into the bathroom. I heard him mumble ouch followed by my door being slammed shut and loud footsteps trudging down the hallway. I silently laughed to myself at how childish my twin brother can be.
For me and him to be twins we are complete opposites. He is more girlish and outgoing but me on the other hand, I am more tomboyish and secluded you could say. You see my brother Alexander loves to be the center of attention. He is the person that people can get annoyed easily with but still love and want to be around him. He reminds me so much of or mom. She was always so bright and happy, always seeing the good in people no matter how the bad the things they did were. She was a truly amazing person, unlike me though.
I’m a more keep-to-myself kind of person you could say, I’m very blunt I normally say what is on my mind whether it hurts people’s feelings or not kind. I mean why lie right? I’m the kind of person with an I-don’t-know, I-don’t-care kind of attitude. My brother is the good boy and I’m the trouble maker and that is how it has always been since we were kids. I would get into trouble and he would always convince people to just let me off easily. I knew I could always count on him, and he could count on me. Like if he would get in trouble I would always take the blame for him because people are used to me screwing up all the time and plus he is actually going to go somewhere in life. I’m probably just going to be some loser with no life who will be stuck with some boring job at my dad office.
I remember when I was younger and I had all these hopes and dreams. I had so many dreams when I was a little girl. I remember when my mom and I used to climb up on the roof and just gaze up at the stars talking about anything and everything.
~Flashback~
It was a nice warm night and the wind was barely blowing. You could hear the rustle of the leave as the wind passes through. The leaves have just started to turn brown and fall to the ground indicating that it’s the start of autumn. I always loved that about autumn it was the most beautiful time of the year, not winter, nor summer, or even spring just autumn. I have always love how the leaves would turn these beautiful shades of brown and red and slowly fall to the ground making it look like a beautiful autumn wonderland. At the time my mother was really into photography and she passed that onto me and I absolutely loved taking pictures. I loved being able to capture the beauty in such simple things with just the click of button.
