Madison walked along the path, searching for a familiar face. Soon locating him, she goes up, covering his eyes. "Guess who?" She whispers in his ear, leaning over his shoulder. She feels his eyes widen as he whips to face her. "Madison? You're back!" Grabbing her up, they spin in a circle, eyes glittering warmly. Three others watch, confused. He sets her down, hands locking behind her back.

Returning to the log, he sits down and pulls her onto him. "Corey, Rowan, Sabrina, meet Madison, my childhood sweetheart and friend." She waves. Corey, Rowan and Sabrina take in the willowy brunette, stunned.

As time passed, she made her relationship with Peyton official. Due to her being away ten years, she and Peyton often bickered and argued. One night they had a massive fight, leading to Peyton ending the relationship. "Do you not get it Peyton!? I'm no longer the same girl you remember! I've changed! I got my heart ripped out, stomped on and shattered!" She yells at him.

In the weeks and months past, Madison would often sit close to Corey, putting Rowan between them. Peyton would sit with Sabrina, watching her awkwardly from across the campfire. "Secrets and a person's past have ways of interfering, forcing that someone to return home and face the demons of days long past." Madison said, strikingly pale eyes flashing.

Two months had gone by before Madison realised she was falling for Corey. Peyton didn't miss the way their hands would brush, faces going red. "I'm going to get some air." Madison got up and left, vanishing into the darkness.

Corey got up and went to watch the waves, finding Madison sitting there, staring at nothing. He put a hand on her shoulder, seeing the way her legs dropped, head turning sideways to look away. "I was forced to leave Hayden behind when we moved. Now that I'm back, things are different. I found out I'm only half human. My mother is Hera, Queen of the Gods."

Sitting next to her, he slowly moves his hand, dangling his arm across her shoulder. "Come on, let's go back to the others." She reluctantly pulled herself up, following him to the campfire. Rowan, Sabrina and Peyton watched the awkwardness between them.

"Just kiss and make up!" Sabrina threw her hands in the air. Corey seized his chance and moved closer, slamming his lips over hers. She locked her arms behind his neck, enjoying the warmth.

Breaking away, they softly smile at each other. "I'm going home, night Corey, Rowan, Sabrina and Peyton." Once again disappearing into the darkness, she walked the empty street.
The next morning Sabrina and Rowan whisked Madison away on a shopping trip.

The three girls laughed and smiled together, having fun. Returning home, Madison, Rowan and Sabrina tried their new clothes out. Dresses, skirts, shorts, tops, shirts, jeans, heels, wedges, flats, sandals, sneakers, earrings, rings, necklaces, bangles and bracelets filled the bags. Madison paired a deep red top with jeans and sneakers, modelling the look. "I love it!" Both Sabrina and Rowan cheered.

All bags slowly emptied, the girls trying on outfits they'd keep and wear again. Madison had chosen the deep red top, black jeans, silver sneakers, blue jeans, white sneakers, along with half the tops and shirts, same with the dresses, shorts and skirts. Sabrina and Rowan crashed, after eating out that night. Three friends, having a good fun time.

Since she, Rowan and Sabrina lived together, Peyton and Corey often visited, Corey going straight for Madison as Peyton talked with Sabrina and Rowan.

Peyton found himself envying the closeness Corey and Madison had. Maybe they'd gone through similar experiences, but there was an strange familiarity, since they didn't need to speak for the other to understand unspoken signals.

Peyton came to realise Corey was perfect for his old friend, with the way they just clicked. After hearing about an argument she and Peyton had, Corey was quick to reestablish she was his.
