The Seeds we had Sown

In a perfect world, in an ideal situation, we would have been end game. I see you in every starry night, I hear your voice with the crashing of every wave, and I feel your touch with every drop of rain.

I was always told that the most splendid things in life happen unexpectedly and all too sudden but most of all they are very short lived. I never believed this until the day our stories collided.

It was just another day and I was all to busy minding my business to assume I would have stumbled upon anything more than a simple conversation. This wasn't your average love story of boy meets girl and they take on the world. This was a story of love across borders and a love that was very much initiated behind a screen. We were so far apart but we were connected at heart since the beginning of time. I will tell our story with honor, with much regret, but with an overwhelming gratitude that the gods worked so hard to bring us together even if it were just for a short period of time.

This was your average Tuesday and I woke up all too grumpy and annoyed because 6am never looks good on anyone. I got dressed for class while dreading every step. I missed home so much. My heart yearned to be back in my space and place of comfort and adjusting to a new lifestyle had not set in for me as yet. I was looking through the archives on my Instagram and in the midst of reminiscing on what it was like being somewhat sane and happy at home a notification came in that I had gotten a new follower on Instagram. It was really no big deal because people follow each other everyday. I mean, heck, I'm not necessarily anyone special. As I browsed through your feed I could not help but notice how beautiful your smile was. It was as though the angels had sewn it themselves and woven so much love into you. Your smile was all too comforting and all too welcoming. Class had started and I was already in so much trouble for having my phone. With every second that passed, my mind drew further and further into wanting to know who this brown eyed beauty was. I put my pride aside and replied to one of your stories on Instagram and your wit made me know I was already 2 miles too many on the road to ruin.

Our souls clicked right away. It was as though I knew you in my previous life. Whether we were friends, lovers, or something more. All my walls fell down and for a long time since leaving home, I began to feel at home. I was entirely over my head with many questions and no answers. Could this be what I had been waiting for all along? The mystery of love began with YOU.
