I was unknown to the fact I was different from everyone else till the day I turned sixteen. I was walking home after a surprise birthday party at my friend Amys's house. I stopped at a store to use the restroom when a women comments my dress. "That's a very beautiful dress the blue sparkles just bring out your smile," she said politely. "Thank you it was a birthday gift from a friend," I replied. As I turned around to walk out the sliding door i noticed a brown haired man, tall but muscular staring at me. i payed no mind to him and continued out the door. When i turned down the gravel path i take on my way home i heard extra steps that was not mine. I bent my head down and slowly turned my head to peak at what or who it was. I clinched at the sight of the strange man from the store following behind me. I heard a voice whisper threw the air. "Your a beautiful girl," it whispered. Pretending that i never heard this voice i began to walk faster trying to gain more ground from this man. Suddenly running steps pounded behind me, out of nowhere an arm grabs my hair yanking my head back. I screamed in pain, clawing at the back of my head. My eyes meet his deep green eyes i saw my reflection and the horror on my face. Jerking my head down that brown haired man dragged me off the path into the brush disappearing from the open. He began to talk threw his teeth in anger "you cant ignore me you know you want me! That was rude to ignore my compliment i'll have to teach you a lesson." "Let me go!" i screamed and kicked. I broke free of his grip and began to run, run as fast as i could. I looked for a place to hide for i could here his foot steps not far behind me. i hid behind a thick tree trying my best to be unseen and blend. Suddenly i felt i strange sensation shoot threw my body. i opened my eyes to see the man looking around screaming for me to "come out come out where ever you are!" He looked right at me but looked away like i wasn't there. I didn't understand but just stood there as still as well a tree. As he disappered searching for me i ran finding my way back to the path i made my way home. Crying and screaming i busted threw the our french door. My mother sat my down asking what had happened. As i explained to her what had happened i could see the horror on her face. "Why mom why didnt he see me standing against the tree its like he was blind or i was invisible," i said in confusion. My mom had a look come across her face I've never seen before a look of secrecy and shame. "Mom, whats wrong," i asked? "I've got something to tell you," she said in a low whisper as she bent her head down.
