Happy Birthday! (Kou X Nene Fluff)

****Outside POV****

"This way" Kou whispered, leading Yashiro through the halls of the school. "No peeking Senpai!!"

"I'm not! but Minamoto-kun where are we going?" she stumbled behind him with her hands covering her eyes.

"We're almost there Senpai!!" He sounded extra happy today, she wondered why. "Here we are! Don't open yet!" He let go of her arm and she heard some shuffling noises. "Okay now!" she opened her eyes to all her friends yelling "Surprise!!".

"Happy birthday Senpai!!" Kou put a party hat on her head, grinning that boyish smile she had grown so fond of. So much was happening with the apparitions of the school that, she forgot her own birthday. Aoi, Akane, Minamoto-Senpai, everyone was there at a surprise party for her.

"Thank you Minamoto-Kun!!" she took his hands in hers, "this is so exciting!" 

"So open my present now!!!" Hanako floated next to her, handing her a small box. She opened it to find a bag of seeds

"Hanako-kun what are these?" she looked puzzled 

"Theyre daikon seeds, so you can have babies" He rushed away, as she started chasing him in an angry fit

***Kou POV***

"Senpai!!" I said, taking her attention off hanako's mean joke. "I got you something as well..." I held out a small envelope with my neatest handwriting on it "I wasn't sure what to give you so I thought this might be better..." she opened the envelope and inside was a sheet of paper with cute little drawings. 

'Happy Birthday Senpai!! this note gives you Minamoto Kou for one day!!' 

"I thought maybe we could spend a day together! Doing some of your favorite things, if thats okay.. and I can cook for you too! I can look for something else if you don't like that idea." I rambled a bit trying to avoid eye contact to keep my flushed face from her view. 

"I love it Minamoto-Kun!!! I'm looking forward to it!!!" She beamed at him. "Lets do it tomorrow okay?" 

"O-Oh okay!" I smiled back.

"What are you gonna do to our sweet Yashiro, kid????? don't try any pervy stuff!!" Hanako teased after Yashiro went over to greet the other people at the party.

"Shut up!! You're the only perv here, you creep!!" I blushed and tried to calm my beating heart thinking about tomorrow.

***The Next Day Yashiro POV***

It didnt occur to me until I showed Aoi the present Minamoto-kun got me.... she read the note and told me that there was no way this wasn't a date, even Akane agreed before asking Aoi to marry him for the millionth time.

'A date.... With Minamoto-Kun?? What should I wear?? should I do my hair different?? Ahhh, My first date and I didn't even know it was a date... I'll be late if I don't hurry...'

I walked toward the school gates where we wanted to meet, Minamoto-Kun was already there. He wore nicer clothes than he usually did and his hair was kinda different, 'was he stressed about how to look too? '

"Senpai!! You're here!" he looked surprised to see you in a dress that wasnt your uniform. 

"I hope you weren't waiting too long!!" I smiled and stood next to him.

"No!! No not at all.... Senpai You... y-you look really nice.." he looked down to hide his flushed cheeks.

"I think you look nice too" I took his hand, "Lets go!!"

The two of you went to a pet store, playing with the puppies, they reminded you of Kou somehow... 'Cute, loyal, caring, you wanted to give him a little kiss...' wait what were you thinking?? you shook the thought from your mind and kept petting puppies.

***Kou POV***

She looks so cute she looks so cute she looks so cute she looks so cute, relax okay calm down. You're fine. I looked over to her and she was making kissy faces at a puppy, SO CUTE. I joined her and pet the puppy. 

"You're really cute" I pretended to talk about the puppy even though I meant it for senpai.

"Isn't he?? He reminds me of you" She said and smiled.

"What? Why?" I smoothed the puppy's ears.

"Well, hes sweet and has this endearing nature I can't put my finger on..." she trailed off, thinking. "Lets go get ice cream!!!" she took my hand and dragged me outside.

We sat on a park bench eating our ice cream, watching the children play.

"Minamoto-Kun?" She whispered.

"Y-Yes?" I turned to her

"Can I call you by your first name?" She looked into my eyes, I nodded my cheeks feeling a little warm again. "Kou-Kun, Today has been a lot of fun... but do you really want to spend time with me?"

"Yes!!" I grabbed her hands in mine "I really really like you! I-I mean spending time with you... I really like spending time with you" I squeezed my eyes shut. 'Great u loser now shes gonna think you're a creep. You idiot, you can't say you like her she likes your brother.'

"I like you too Kou-Kun" my eyes shot open, she sat there smiling at me. A soft pink dusting her cheeks, she was so darn CUTE.

"R-Really?" I couldn't think, she planted a kiss on my cheek. All I could do was hold my cheek and stare.

"Yes! I wasn't sure at first but spending this time with you today I thought about how much you mean to me, and I realized... I like you" she blushed and looked down at her feet. Before I could think about what I was doing I took her face in my hands and kissed her soft lips.

***Nene POV***

'Kou is kissing me, hes kissing me'  thoughts running through my mind as I let my lips melt into his. The kiss was soft, as though I was a flower and he couldn't bear to bruise my petals, it felt pure and loving. When he pulled back, his face quickly changed to panic.

"Was I bad? Was that weird? I'm sorry" He backtracked.

"It was perfect" I giggled at his shyness

"Happy birthday Senpai!" He grinned.
