The cold autumn night air, greeted M/n's face with a friendly slap to his [s/c] cheeks as soon as he stepped outside of the apartment complex. It was currently 2AM and it was the first for him to get ice cream in such cold weather.
Standing not too far was Jungkook wearing a black hoodie accompanied by a long black padded coat. Leaning against the sidewalk light pole made it look like he was the center of the stage.
"Did you wait long?" M/n asked stuffing his hands into his white jean's pockets.
"I wasn't escorted, so I guess not." Jungkook laughed and scanned M/n's outfit.
Minus the fact that he looked great, M/n was definitely underdressed for the night's weather. Raising an eyebrow, Jungkook took his phone and wallet out of the coat's pockets before stuffing them in his hoodie's pocket.
"You didn't look at tonight's weather, did you?" Jungkook questioned while taking his coat off and handing it to the other.
"Well, this was out of the blue. I also didn't want to keep you waiting out in the cold for so long." M/n responded and thanked the talker for the coat.
The night seemed to drag as the two boys walked to the nearest convenience store. The worker, who was nearly falling asleep, welcomed them before slumping back down into his chair.
"What kind of ice cream should we get?" Looking through many freezers of ice cream, Jungkook wrapped his arm around M/n's shoulders as they both looked inside one of the freezers.
"I think I want this one." M/n spoke and grabbed the tub that was [fav. flavor]. Smiling in excitement, a soft chuckle escaped Jungkook's lips as he also picked a tub from the same freezer.
After the trip to the convenience store, Jungkook quickly called for a taxi that took them to the Hangang River. The city lights shined brightly like the stars in the dark night sky. With hardly anyone present, Jungkook and M/n had Hangang River to themselves.
"It would've been bad if we just got ice cream as the date." Jungkook commented while opening his tub of ice cream and handing M/n a small spoon.
"I wouldn't have been mad. We could've eaten it back at my place." M/n chuckled and offered Jungkook a taste of his ice cream.
The quiet atmosphere put both boys at peace. The sounds of the water crashing quietly and cars driving on the bridge were the toppings to this cake.
"Thanks for doing this." M/n smiled while opening his arms as an invitation to give Jungkook a hug.
"I would do anything to make you happy, M/n." Jungkook's muffled voice only made the shorter chuckle and nod his head.
"Was that a confession just now?" Teased M/n and pulled away from the hug to see Jungkook's reaction.
His pink cheeks were exposed thanks to the moon acting like spotlight at the perfect moment. The nervous chuckled only made things worse for Jungkook, since the words just slipped out without him noticing.
"I-um-I guess so?" Tilting his head to the side, Jungkook placed the lid on this ice cream tub, no longer in the mood to eat it after his embarrassing moment.
A quiet hum was heard as M/n opened his arms once again. "Then, I'll be in your care from now on."
