(Y/N's POV)

"You stupid mudblood!" Draco pushed me onto the floor of the corridor. His pair of goons stood behind him laughing.

For the first time since Malfoy's began tormenting me, I felt tears start to surface in my eyes as I looked up at the blonde haired boy. He had a habit of prioritizing his reputation in public, and I was sick of it. Did our study meetings in the library mean nothing to him? He was polite during those meetings, not to mention flirting with me any time he got the chance to.

"Oh piss off, Malfoy!" A voice yelled from down the corridor, heading this way.

Draco and his goons snapped their heads in the direction the voice came from. I took this chance to gather my books and homework that I had dropped during the fall. The tears that I had tried so hard to hold back stained the parchment as I gathered it in my arms, hugging it close to my chest.

"What's it to you, Potter?" Draco snarled, gritting his teeth. Since Draco had started flirting with me, I noticed that he seemed extra pissed off at Harry and I wasn't quite sure why.

"What's it to you, Malfoy?" Harry stopped at the scene and snarled in return, "She wasn't bothering you."

"It's alright, Harry," I said as calmly as I could, "I can handle this on my own," I lied. Sure, I was sick of Draco being two-faced, but I couldn't stand to see the two boys fight. Harry was one of my closest friends, and as much as I hate to admit it, Draco was becoming a close friend of mine as well.

I held onto my books with one arm while Harry helped me off the cold floor with my other. He hugged me closer to his side and glared at Draco. Draco growled under his breath. Harry turned away from him, guiding me back down the corridor to my next class.

Walking, I turned my head toward Draco, "I'll see you tomorrow," I stated angrily. Before I turned, I noticed the smallest hint of regret on Draco's pale face. Like that could be possible. It's clear he's got his intention set on keeping his reputation in check.

Harry looked at me with a concerned, soft smile. He gently wiped a tear from my cheek and put his arm around my shoulder, side hugging me briefly as we walked in comforting silence.

"How can you stand it?" Harry whispered to me.

I continued to scribble notes from the board in Professor Flitwick's room, knowing I wouldn't remember any of this for the next exam if I didn't.

"I mean why even show up to those study meetings if he's going to treat you like that," Harry continued, simultaneously copying from my notes, "You deserve better."

"How so?" I shoot him a questioning glance.

"Y/N you're the coolest person I know," He says, giving his full attention to me instead of the lecture, "I can't stand to see him treating you like rubbish. Calling you a mudblood! It's disgusting. You're far more than your family history, as if that would even matter. I-I mean you and Hermione both. I don't understand why Draco can't just get over it. Not to mention the way that he looks at you when you don't see him. I see him from across the great hall it's like your his prey! I wish I could just-"

"Mr. Potter. Have something you would like to share?" Professor Flitwick interrupted his lecture to say.

"N-No, sir," He said returning to his notes in silence.
