Earrings

"Straw Hat-ya, what're you doing?"

Luffy smiled, sitting with his legs crossed next to and facing Law. He lifted hand once again and flicked the two golden earrings Law wore with a grinned.

"Why'd you have those? Aren't they annoying to wear?" Luffy questioned, looking at the gold accessories.

"It's really none of your business and stop flicking my ear," he mumbled, moving a little away from Luffy, which made the younger boy scoot closer once again.

"I'm just wondering, they're just earrings!" He whined, now with a pout.

"I just felt like getting them, and you get use to them after a while," Law answered, not wanted this to continue any longer.

"Did it hurt?" Luffy questioned, forgetting Laws request to not touch his ear by poking it.

"No," he answered simply.

"Where'd you get them?"

"Some island."

"Are they real gold?"

"Why do they interest you so much?" Law asked, looking down next to him at the captain.

He shrugged, rocking back and forth a bit. "They look cool."

Law raised an eyebrow. "Do they?"

Luffy grinned. "Yeah! What if I got some of those weird things?"

Law chuckled slightly, leaning a bit more forward. "I wouldn't recommend it, you're alright the way you are."

Luffy laughed, laying down on the grassy deck of the ship with his hands behind his head. "You're such a nice guy Torao!"

Law sighed, glancing over at Luffy with a frown. "What makes you think that? Because I said one small thing?"

"Because of a whole bunch of small things!" Luffy said, reaching his arms up in the air. "And some big things to! Like when you help save Jinbe and me!"

"Would you stop bringing that up?" Law grumbled, leaning his back against the edge of the ship. "It was nothing I expect anything in return from, including kindness."

"Well I think you're you're pretty great!" Luffy stated.

Law frowned. When he made an offer only a little while ago to Luffy, he never expected what was happening to happen. Such a strange guy he was.

Though it wasn't Luffy's fault that for some reason Law couldn't respond to the younger boys last statement. So he just decided to do what he usually did when Luffy became to confusing and annoying to handle; he ignored it.
