ON the evening of the same day, Charlotte woke up to a mild headache, on the other hand, Olivia thought her head was not far from exploding. She wasn't a really good drinker, she was still a little innocent on that part, unlike her best friend who had been drinking since she was a sophomore in high school. Olivia tried not to exceed herself but last night she didn't even care. But well, this morning she started doing so. From the kitchen, Charlotte offered Olivia one of the coffees she had just made and she accepted it. She made her way to the living room where Olivia was watching TV with the volume all the way down to zero and sat on the couch putting her friend's legs on her lap.

"How are you feeling?"

"Like shit," Olivia replied with no hesitation, "But better, I guess. Thank you for the coffee,"

"Wanna watch a movie? I think we still have some snacks here," Charlotte spoke, pointing at the kitchen behind her

"I would love to but, I think we should get going. Otherwise my parents are gonna call yours and we're gonna be really fucked up," Olivia responded

"Ah fuck, you're right,"

Charlotte took a look at the clock above the TV. It was only 4:25 p.m.

"I can drop you off if you want to," Charlotte offered

"Bold of you to assume I wasn't gonna ask for a ride," Olivia said, making the two of them laugh

Before they left the apartment, they changed into more weather-appropriate clothes. To be more exact, sweatpants and oversized hoodies. It was late November, it had been snowing for a while now so they were close to 35 degrees Fahrenheit. Of course they were warmer days but this wasn't one of them. Right after taking the elevator to the lobby, the girls started walking towards the main entrance but they were interrupted by the receptionist.

"Ms. Madigan," the boy called

She turned around with a smile on her face. Despite the fact she didn't really like him, she was still polite towards him.

"Hey, Nathan,"

"This letter came in for you this morning. Well, I mean, it's for your father but they said it was urgent and you're here now, so..."

Nathan Griffin. A British boy who moved to Chicago when he was younger. He developed an obvious and big crush on Charlotte when he started working as the receptionist in her apartment's building. Even though he was not annoying or mean in any way, Charlotte tried to avoid him any way she could. But honestly, that was a quite hard task to do. They both went to the same school, had most of their classes together, and even their families would have get-togethers every once in a while.
