I Am An Avenger!

Chapter 1 : The Beginning

I'm Shin. I onced have a great family, Dad's spending a lot of his time with us, Mom's staying at home as a house wife, I got a cool big brother that is always protecting me and a smart little sister. Life is good back then. We weren't that rich and poor but we were contended having each other in our peaceful lives.

Until one day when I just got back from my martial arts training, I saw my house and it was set in fire. I Immediately run towards and saw my big brother with a wound at his chest and catching his breath.

"Big brother, what happened here! Who on Earth do this to you?" I said with a terrified tone.

"T-They slaughtered them all! You must leave this land at once!" My Big brother shouted out loud.

"No. Who could have done this?! Why!" I said shoutly with a burst of fury.

My big brother waved his hand covered with blood as if he was going to whisper.
I lean down and he began whispering.

"You must kill the king serpent." He said.

"Kill the king serpent? What does that mean?" I asked him with frightening voice.

"Be strong. This time this will be the last that
I will protect you. Now it is time to protect yourself. Now Run!" He said to me while coughing blood.

I ran and ran with a fealing of guilt in my heart.

"I'm sorry big brother I couldn't protect you.
I'm nothing but a coward. I vow from this day forward I will avenge my family's death!" I courageously said.

Luckily I found a cave nearby. And decided to
Take shelter when suddenly It throwed knife at me and almost hit my face.

"Who are you? Show yourself!" I bravely said while preparing for a fight.

And then I saw a figure walking outside the cave and began to speak.

"It's none of your business." It said with cold attitude.

And then I saw it's clear presence. It was a boy about my age. What could he be doing here all alone?

"Hey are you okay?" I asked.

"You! You must be one of them right?! If you want to kill me, kill me now!" He shouted.

"You must be misunderstanding I'm not one of them in fact..."

"Lies, all lies I trusted them and yet they destroy all that is precious to me!"

"Hey, calm down." I said with a slight of care.

"What do you care?! You don't know how  It feels to lose your family, the only treasure I had!" He shouted while grabbing my clothes upwards.

"I just lose my family today..." I said with a serious face.

He suddenly went shocked on what he just heard and slowly releasing me from grabbing my clothes. He remains shocked for a few minutes and then he let me in for shelter.

"So your all alone now?" He asked

"Yeah sort of." I said.

"What are you gonna do after this?" He added

"I'm not so sure. I have no place now to call home." I replied with a sad tone.

"Btw, my name is Kai. I'm from the southern border of Kyonan. What is your name?" He asked with a smile.

It's surprisingly to see him smiling at me from all the anger he had back then.

"My name is Shin. I'm From the East." I replied with a smile.

"Really you must be lucky living there. I heard it was a peaceful place." Kai said.

"Yeah, it was a peaceful place. But for all that what happened today, it's not anymore." I said with sadness while remembering all the memories of my home.

"Say, do you ever heard of the King Serpent?"
I asked.

It began to silence once I talk about the "King Serpent".

"I heard all about it alright. They're the ones who killed my family. I swear I will have my revenge just them wait!" Kai said.

"You too? They're also the once who slaughtered my whole family including my village." I Said with a serious face.

"Hehe, Guess were in the same boat now. What do you say?" Kai said  while patting my back.
