Keith's pov

Something was off but I didn't know what it was "hey zane," I whisper to him he looks at me and hums. We were currently waiting for the other three to get back out from going to the bathroom and getting snacks and drinks.

"What's up keith?" He asked

"What if we don't...... Make it?" I say quietly looking down

"Keith listen to me," zane says placing his hands on my shoulders looking me in the eyes "we will make it! We will save our sunshine I promise OK?"

I nod and the others come back.

3rd person's pov

They arrived at the place where kayla was at, "that's a lot of blood," Zane's says getting out the car looking at the ground

"Please don't be hers!" Keith yells following the trail of blood to a body, Keith's eyes widen as he got down next to the body "kayla open your eyes... Come on sunshine open your eyes!" Keith says as tears from in his eyes kayla opens her eyes as her breathing is shallow, the other boys walk over shock and sorrow on their faces

"Keith... Boys... Promise me... You'll never... Let another child.... Get hurt..," she says in between coughs and gasps for air

"Kayla we promise just stay with us a little longer," keith says "you'll be there for... For everything,"

"Hey you guys promise to see.... The world for me?" She says

"Kayla don't talk like that you'll be able to see the world for yourself," colin says

"No... I won't... Be able to... See... The... Worl-" her eyes widen and her breathing stops her eyes lose their sparkle and just like that they lost her.

"Open your eyes kayla!" Keith crys.

Zane's pov

"... And just like that the cops shiwed up and kaleb and colin said they did. We came back and everyone could by how keith wasnt smiling we lost his sunshine," I say Lilith looks at me

"Wait that's why they protect kids all because of a promise?" Lilith asked I shook my head

"Hell no, me and my brothers do it because no kid should live in fear. I get it your new here but guess what, colin, Keith, kaleb, and me aren't people to fuck with when comes to protecting children and I swear by all means talk shit about them and keith will put a damn bullet in between your eyes and we will be smiling about it, the only thing you can do is keep you fucking shit talking behind you and realized that we don't give a fuck about how you feel about how we do things," I say grabbing her shoulder while glaring at her "so straight the fuck up," and with that I walk away from her

Lilith's pov

They really are dumbasses, I don't care what they do, I mean after all I can't wait to threw keith out of here "listen you can't do what you want here,"  a voice says

"Who are you?" I turn around and seen a woman

"Im those boys adoptive mother, my names Lura and I run this gang with those boys not you," she says walking away
