Valerian

Chapter 1

Setting/ how the story is set up: The year is 4122. The world is not how it was in the 2000s. In 2020 the USA and the other countries got into the biggest war of time. Barley anyone survived the bombings. Power plants melting, damns falling, earthquakes and other disasters left very little people left in the world. Some people had feared this would happen and they prepared by having underground cellars made and stocked with things to last them a while. Once most humans had died there was only a couple thousand left and when they came back up on land 30 years later things were very different. The animals were different and most buildings and structures were collapsed or gone completely. Most people gathered into groups and established leaders. They gathered food and animal skins to keep warm or whatever things they had in the cellars to survive the next hundred years. The generation of 4122 had no phones, no electric, no last names only first. There were four major groups spread out across what was left of the earth. The Mountain people, Sea people, Forest people, Plains people. They stayed away from each other for the most part in there regions guided by there one leader. They stay within Thee region but they move around never stayin in one place to long.

This story will follow the life of one 20 year girl named Valerian as she figures out how to lead her people to have the best life they can in a dying world. Her father just passed from a disease which means she must take over and lead to the best of her abilities.
