I look out of the van window at the trees passing on the way to one of my weekly meetings in my homeschool program."But if you're so sure why are we on our way to this meeting right now?" my mom says haughtily, referring to the fact that my dad thinks these meetings are ' weird ' because the definition of homeschool was "School at home. And at home only."
I sigh and lay my head back on my seat as we pull up to the parking lot and start to get out of the car. I walk across the parking lot after saying goodbye to my parents and into our children's building.
After signing in I walk to my new school room with the 6th graders. Everyone's sitting down at tables and I go and sit to the right of some 'pretty okay' friends. In front of me there is this boy who looks at me and smiles,
"Im Joe" he says
I smile back and introduce myself as well.
"Adrith"
As usual, I doodle on my paper and I'm drawing a little cat, which I draw a lot.
"Cute." says Joe smiling and then turning to his friend who pokes him to show him something he drew on his page.
