Chapter Seven: The Big Day.

A/N: So yet again I'm uploading late. Sorry you guys. It's just that idk what to ️really right about. I'll be completely honest I started this story based off of a dream. And I know that it really isn't all that great. Trust me I know.
My sister actually is the one who asked me when I was gonna update because in all truths I may have forgotten about this story. But hopefully this chapter will make up for that. So uh happy reading and thanks for being patient.
Ps. This chapter sucks and is really short but I ran out of stuff to write and just wanted to get it over with. So yeah sorry for shortness.

Today is the big day. James leaves for the trip today. He has been so excited the last couple days and I've been trying to be happy for him also. But it's just so hard. Every time I think about the trip my mind always wonders to the possibility of something going wrong.

"Babe, just promise me that you'll come back safe" I tell him.

We, James and I, are standing by the place where he signed up. Our families are supposed to be here anytime. He leaves at 3:30 pm and its 2:50 now. We all were supposed to get here early so his parents could tell him bye and wouldn't be rushed, but now that they are running late they probably won't say bye.

"I promise. I love you. Remember that." he told me leaning down to kiss me on my forehead. He had his bag flung over his shoulder and fingers wound up in my own. I untangled our fingers and wrapped my arms around his torso, inhaling his scent so I have something to hold onto.

We heard a cough, as we sprung apart. I saw that it was his parents who looked calm, unlike me who was freaking out. "Okay James remember to stay safe and everything okay??"

"Yes ma" James said giving his mom a hug while kissing her cheek and his dad a hand shake. "I'll see you both later" and with that he took my hand and walked with me closer to the gate since it was almost time to leave.

"Okay, I'll see you in a couple days" he told me as he gave my hand a squeeze then let go, getting ready to walk through the gate.

When I first found out about this trip he thought it was gonna be a whole week long trip but now it's only like a 2 day trip and I couldn't be more excited.

"James!" I yelled his name and watched as he turned around. Stunned by his face, I started at a slow run to him but the closer I got the faster I ran. It may have been the cheesiest thing ever, but I didn't have a care in the world. I leaped up in his arms giving him a kiss and slowly sliding down. "Be safe, love you James Dean." I whispered in his ear.

I walked away before anything else could happen. I started walking to the window so I could see his ship leave. When they were out of view I decided I was going to visit with my family.

By the time I found them, they were ordering food from a burger place. "Oh honey! There you are, oh did he leave already?" My mom asked referring to James.

"Yeah, he just left." I told her coming up to her and giving her a hug and kissing her cheek. I did the same as my father and then sat down next to my sister, Lizzy.
