Placing the curling iron down, I looked up towards the mirror, fiddling with the ends of my hair. I was minutes away from my first date with Josh. The way he made me feel was different to how I've felt about anyone else.
Grabbing my purse, I placed my phone inside, along with my wallet and lip gloss. The girls had helped me pick out an outfit so I knew it had been approved, but I was still worried about what he would think. (outfit above)
Beginning to head towards the stairs, I heard the doorbell ring so i quickly made my way over, not wanting Josh to wait too long.

His eyes traveled down my body and I suddenly became nervous. Josh Richards was standing in front of me, speechless. "You look absolutely stunning." He said. "Ready to go?" He asked, extending his hand towards me. Nodding my head, I placed my hand in his as I allowed him to guide me towards his car. (Skip to restaurant💀)

The restaurant was quiet. The sound of the piano running through made it even more romantic. I had never been here before, but Josh seemed to love it so I trusted him. The waiter came over to us and got us water. "I'd be lying if I said I wasn't nervous." I stated, letting out a small laugh. "Lily," He said, reaching over the table and taking my hand in his. "There's no need to be nervous."
His eyes held its contact with mine and I couldn't help, but get butterflies. Being on a date with Josh Richards was something enjoyable. I like him and love him...but I don't know if he feels the same way. The conversation was easy. It never slowed down and I really enjoyed his company. He was being a perfect gentleman.
"How about dessert?" He asked, with a cheeky smile, leaning over the table. "I prefer cheesecake." I said grabbing the menu as I avoided his lips, laughing. Watching him lean back, I opened the menu, beginning to look at all the options.(Skip to after date. We are at the beach now👌)

"So how was tonight, then?" He asked as we walked hand in hand, the water crashing against our feet. "Dinner was amazing, I've never been somewhere so fancy before." I admitted. Stopping in his tracks, he pulled my hand towards him and pressed his lips against mine. Releasing your hand, I wrapped my arms around his neck as I deepened the kiss. "Will you be my girlfriend, Lily Hall(Yes Bryce Hall's sister in this book)?" he asked. "Yes I will, Josh!" I answered cheerfully with tears in my eyes.
