Martha had just gotten off her shift. She had been working all day on a case and couldn't wait till the clock chimed 5:00 to return home, where she could lay among the sofas and sit in front of the fireplace. Her husband, Nick, had been busy lately due to the enormous amounts of casing coming in and out of the station. He who was the owner of a large detectives company, right in the center of Diamond City, the Green Jewel of Commonwealth. Martha hadn't been able to spend time with Nick since he both came home late and left for work early once again in the morning. She longed for some time with him, even if it were to be just an hour or two, she just wanted to be near him, but again, she too had been busy. Many employees at her station had been coming in quiet oddly, they either seemed drunk or, out of mind. She sat in her car staring out the rolled down windows, watching as other cars passed by, she knew she had to get home by 7:00, at least that's what Nick always told her. He always went on and on about how she shouldn't be out late and how he couldn't afford to one day be working Her case. But this was the only time she ever felt free, at peace, work had her always stressed and Nick wasn't much help at home since he was Barely at home. She wondered what it would be like if she were to spend the night out, maybe at a club or a party, like her friends did. Her parents had always been strict and simply talking too loud would earn her a speech from her father. Looking up at the sky she could see the sun setting, "Should I try tonight? I'm sure Nick wouldn't mind!" and with that her mind was made up, she would go home, freshen up and head out for the night.
Once arriving back, taking off her shoes the first thing Martha was to notice was the hat and coat upon the coat hanger, she looked and and there they were, Nick's shoes. He's home, and from the looks of it, he's not asleep. She walked into the bedroom looking for her spouse. "Nick? Sweetheart?" she called for him. A man with Emerald eyes and the skin of sun kissed brown walked out of the closet, his eyes gleamed as if they shone by themselves, like jewels lighting a cave, a sight for sore eyes, "Welcome home my love!" he chimed. He walked towards her holding her close and kissed her head. "I decided to come home early! I know I've been quite busy and I wanted to make it up to you." Dumbfounded she looked up at him, "O-oh! of course! I wanted to spend time Together too..!" what she Really wanted was to go outside and enjoy the night. He nodded at her and head out the room. Sighing she took off her coat and tossed it onto the bed, heading into the bathroom with her towel. Starting up the water she looked within the mirror, looking over the bags underneath her eyes. Removing her clothes she sat in the tub, letting the bubbles engulf her as she rested and dozed off.
Awoken from the banging on the door Martha sat up. Startled she wrapped herself in her towel and yelled back, "Whos there!?", no response was given at first but then Nick replied. "Love! you've been in there for an hour and a half!! I've been worried!" You look down at your hands as they've already pruned, sighing you call back, "I'll be out after finishing my shower!", he seems uneasy letting you stay in the bathroom any longer but he agrees. He's a good man, you've been married for 6 years and everyday has made it worth it, he's a 5'10 tall and has quite a build, his voice is deep yet smooth and when he holds you close, nothing else matters. He makes you long for him, and meets all your needs- the perfect man for you. After showering you walk out in your towel as it hugs your body and curves, heading towards the closet you pass by Nick and as he looks over at you his face reddens, no matter how hard he may try, he's the softest man you've ever met, his face red and looking away you can help but giggle and tease him as you walk into the closet and lock the door behind you. Drying yourself you wrap yourself in your silk night wear and robe, being a Detective's assistant pays well.
Dinner was quite fun, no more sitting at the table alone and having leftovers, tonight Nick had decided to make some Lasagna with roasted peppers and vegetables. He also helped clean the table afterwards and the dishes. Once everything was put away you sit cozily onto the sofa in front of the fireplace, reading one of your all time favorite romance novels. Nick sits next to you as he reads the files he's brought back from the station, never stopping to rest he's always a busy man. After a few good silent minutes he looks up at you and asks; "Y'know the case of William HeathersBurg? The man who owned the bank downtown and had mysteriously gone missing?", you look at him confused, of course you have, he was the richest man ever, a bit of a cheap skate but he was kind. "Of course, his poor wife left all alone to care for the whole estate, she must feel so alone.." you reply back. He looks at the files a bit uneasy and turns back to you, "Maybe you should do talk to the his wife, she may have a bit of information to further help the investigation, such as suspects or potential enemies." You take a moment to think to yourself, William's case had been closed for while now, due to no leading clues and if there were any found, they seemed to have vanished into thin air. You close your book setting it down and taking the files into your own hands to look through, looking back up at Nick you nod your head, "Ill do it, he deserves some justice after all." Nick looks at you with the largest smile possible and leans in to kiss you, without thinking you kiss him back as your face flushes pink and hot. Moving back he looks at your now burning cheeks and chuckles to himself, then returns to his files, what a flirt..!
