Chapter 4: Merles hand

Me and Carl walk back to the R.V were the group was. "Rick are you seriously going to risk your life for a douchebag like Merle Dixon" Shane said.

"You better choose your words more carefully" Daryl said. I walk up to Shane and give him a piece of my mind. "Don't say that ever again about Merle or anyone else Shane and I believe I just said earlier he is part of this group and trust me you don't wanna be my damn problem" I said annoyed.

Daryl laughs a little. "Well I'm going if Paige is going and I know my way around the city" Glenn said. "My day just gets better and better" Daryl said annoyed. Me, Daryl, T-dog, Rick, and Glenn go to the truck. Daryl hops in the back of the delivery truck and he stands and looks at Rick T-dog and Glenn because they were being slow.

"Come on I ain't got all day" Daryl yelled. I was climbing in the back and Daryl helped me up. I sat inside the back of the truck and T-dog climbed in the back and sat across from me. Daryl came and sat beside me in the truck. "He better be ok when we find em" Daryl said looking at T-dog. "He will be Dare leave T alone we've all been through enough" I said.

Before we were ready to go Jake jumps in the back of the delivery truck with us. "Jake no you can't come with us" I said. Jake was giving me puppy eyes and I couldn't do that.

I take Jake over to Dale and Shane. "Hey can you guys watch this big boy while I'm gone" I said. "Yes Paige we can" Shane said. "Thanks and if he gets hurt or killed it's on you" I said. I let Jake run to Shane and I ran back to the delivery truck and I jumped right on in.

I closed the back door of the truck and I sat down by Daryl.
I was a little tired and put my head on Daryl's shoulder he tensed a little then calmed down and I just sat there thinkin.

10 minutes later
10 minutes the truck stops. I get up the second those doors open. "Come on let's go find Merle" I said getting out of the truck. "Wait were going have to decide bag of guns or Merle first" Rick said. "Merle we ain't even havin this conversation" Daryl said.

"Well we are" Rick said. "I say we should get Merle first" I said. "I agree with Paige" T-dog said. "Well Glenn what do you think" Rick said. "Well Merle is closer so it will be best to get Merle then the bag of guns" Glenn said. "Ok well let's go enough dilly dallin around" I said. We make it to where the building is were Merle was at. T-dog takes the tool he got from Dale and cuts the chains so we can open the door to the roof. Daryl slams the door open and yells "Merle".

Daryl runs Me, T-Dog, Rick and Glenn behind him in that order. I go and stand by Daryl and fall to my knees. "No No" Daryl yells crying. He looks at T-Dog and everyone is shocked but it felt like I just got stabbed in the back for Daryl losing his own brother but I hope he is still alive.

Daryl turns around and points his crossbow at T-dogs head and Rick points his gun at Daryl's head. "I don't care if every walker in this city hears it but I will not hesitate" Rick said. Daryl cries a little and puts it down Rick still holding his gun.

I get up because I was getting really angry because Merle didn't deserve this nor Daryl being hurt so I got up and smacked the gun out of Ricks hand and almost bent his finger back.

"Merle didn't deserve this nor does Daryl being threatened with a gun at his head. Besides that Rick I don't think you would appreciate it if Shane me and you in this situation either" I said a little angry. Everyone just looks at me and I turn to T-dog. "T you got a rag or somethin" I said.

T-Dog nods his head and gives me a blue rag. I walk over to Merles hand and wrap it in the rag and hand it to Daryl. "Ain't that a bitch" Daryl said. He pulls Glenn over and puts it in Glenn's backpack.

"To be honest it looks like a escape gone wrong" I said. "He must of wrapped it on somethin or he lost more blood" Daryl said. I walk around to check for any clues it felt like I was on a damn crime tv show like Blue Bloods or NCIS those were some of my favorite shows I used to watch as a kid.

I found a trail of blood leading to another door and there was blood on the door knob. "Guys look there's blood leading to this door" I said. Everyone looked at me and walked over.

We follow the trail of blood going down into the building. We came across two walkers. Daryl shot the female walker in the head. "What an ugly skank" Daryl said. "Agreed" I said then I threw my knife into the male walkers head and killed it. We walked more around the building until I smelled something burning.

"Is something burning" I said. We walk and find a pot on a stove and a towel with blood. "He fixed his wound Merle is one tough son of a bitch no one can kill Merle but Merle" Daryl said. I walk over and see a window smashed with a other towel with blood on the stairs outside the window.

"Guys look at this" I said. "You mean he just left and went out their like that with all the walkers" Glenn said. "Well he had no choice then being left by you sorry pricks" Daryl said. Daryl tried to walk past Rick but Rick stopped him and pushed him back.

"Daryl just wait" Rick said. "You can't stop me" Daryl yelled. "I went through hell to find my family I know exactly how you feel" Rick said. I felt bad now hitting the gun out of his hand. "Dare we will find em and I agree with Rick I don't know what I would do if I lost Glenn" I said. "Well since he's out their we can get the guns and make our way looking for Merle" Glenn said.
