The beginning

In the midst of the foggy panic dancing around me, I ran to said goddess for help. To make a long story short, the bitch fucked me over. I never thought describing my hair as a rats nest would mean anything other than tangles. Athena took that shit to a whole new level. I've always thought rats were kinda cute with their pink little noses and
long faces. You know whats not cute though? Having to feed said rats to the nest of glorified worms on my head, or having to pick up the pieces of said rats off my scalp after one of them tries to be greedy. Do you know what it's like to untangle guts from your "hair"? It's not very fucking pleasant. Granted, she did say she was trying to help me.. And it does come with its perks.. I never have to worry about men ever trying to touch me because well...  They turn to stone if they so much as glance into my eyes. So that's a plus.  It also comes with its disadvantages... Like the fact that i don't have to worry about men ever touching me because looking at me turns them to fucking. Stone. Don't get me wrong, i don't need a man but the option sure would be nice. Thanks Athena, you bitch.

You must wonder where this story leads to.. What did sweet, beautiful little medusa do after she became a monster, shunned away from everything she had ever known?

I kicked ass.

But not at first... No at first i was terrified. I was weak. I hid in shame. I ran, trying to find some sort of place to hide from everything.. I could never go back to where i once called home. I remember the rain beating down on my bare skin, my clothes were dirty and ripped.. My knees and hands sore from hours of climbing. Hours of stumbling through the darkness. I remember how everything was different, i was stronger than i remembered.. Faster.. Things looked different. I hid inside the first cave I found. From first look it wasn't very large at all, just a small hole knocked into the rocks by what could have been a bored giant, smashing its hammer whichever way it went. It wasn't until i got closer that i realized how deep and complex the cave was. Shivering, and soaked i pushed my way through the entrance. The jagged edges scratching at my skin, and catching onto what was left of my tattered clothes. It seemed like hours before I reached the first large opening of the cave. That was as far as i got before i crumbled to the ground, shaking and crying as Athenas words echoed through my mind. "Why so sad, dear? I saved you. I protected you. Because of me you shall never fear another man again." And as my eyes finally started to close from exhaustion, my lips trembled open only to let out in the faintest, "but you've cursed me as well" Before drifting off into a fitful sleep.
