#school trip.

It's a Monday morning, mom has been in my room to wake me up this is at least the tenth time.

I woke up and took a warm bathe and now am sitting looking at myself in the mirror thinking about the long school week. Just then, a message pops in. I picked up my iPhone and saw that Sophie texted me. She was reminding me that we have a test in our first class before leaving for an educational trip to an island where we'll be doing our researches.

I quickly texted her back and told her that am already up and almost ready to leave after saying my good morning greetings and then finished up by wishing her a good day and also a great week. She sent back her wishes for a beautiful day and said she'll be waiting for me at her locker and I should meet her there before going to the examination room.

I went through my closet and found the perfect cloth for an exam day. I looked at my reflection in the mirror and my mouth almost dropped. It was a reflection of a gorgeous young lady who was dressed in a brown leggings and an off white long sleeved shirt that was also fitting. She had white skechers snickers on and her hair tied up in a ponytail. Not to forget the light make-up she wore which made her lighten up the room. I was brought back to my world by my Mom's voice calling me downstairs for breakfast.

I picked up my back pack that was laying on the sofa on my way to the door after having my breakfast with mom and dad. And they both informed me that they will be dropping me at my school before driving to the office because they wanted to say there good byes as I was leaving for a trip to an unknown island for two weeks.

We talked about random things in our way to school. Mom was adamant on lecturing me on being careful and take care of myself and also have my meals on time but dad cut it off by telling her that I wasn't an eighth year kid who was traveling for the first time away from her parents but rather a teenager who going for a research-based trip and also travelling for the millionth time without her parents.

We arrived at my school and dad drove to the packing lot and packed next to my car that was drove by the driver and my suitcase and luggage was already in my car. When I alighted from the car, my parents also come around to where I stood and they gave me there best banana smiles before pulling me into a big hug. Mom asked me to take good care of myself when I was away and dad just gave a frightening look. Then dad hugged me and told me, "sweetheart I'll definitely miss you. Make sure you call whenever you get a chance. And just know that daddy loves you princess." Mom interapted us by saying, "even mom loves you baby" then dad kissed my forehead. I took a step back and told them,"ok ok ok I know that both mom and dad lives this princess to then moon and back. But please can I go know!? Don't forget I have to do an examination before leaving and I don't want to be late for that. And of course daddy, I'll definitely call because I can't get to sleep when I haven't seen you two for the whole day. But for now, you two can head for the office." I hugged them two at the same time as mom was on my left and dad on my right and I in the middle. The hug was quite a long and silent one. I packed the bag that I had carried from home that was also travelling with it in my car boot then left after double checking that the car was looked and saw my parents drove off.

"Heyyyyyyy!!! I've misses you Sophie" I told Sophia when I saw her standing across her locker waiting for me. She hugged me and told me that we only had ten minutes before the exams and that I had to prepare fast and go to the examination room. We did exactly that and then went to our respective rooms and promised to meet after the exams at the supervisor's office where we were to be given the way forward on the trip.

After the examination, I met Sophia at the promised spot and there were also the rest of the eight students who were to go with us on the trip. The supervisor double checked our names and made sure that we all had done and completed the exams and then he told ua to drive ourselves to the shores at the end of the city.

I paired with Sophia and decided that we'll use my car so I helped her to shift her luggage into my car and we drove off.On our way she looked at me and then smiled.
"Can I get the plaesure to know the reason for that smile?" I asked her with an equal smile on my face.

"Hahahaha the plaesure is mine to tell you the reason behind the smile. Ok it's just that I saw your parents when they came to drop you off and they are very sweet and love you so much. It was amazing to watch the whole scene when neither you nor them were ready to let go."

I pulled a serious face and said," so you were there the whole time and didn't even come to say hi to them"

"Oh no no no please don't take it that way. I didn't want to sabotage that beautiful scene. Please don't be sad." She said while worried and trying to fix herself to a comfortable position on the seat. I was aslo lucky to see her sweating on the forehead.

" OMG it's ok. Am not sad. I was just pulling your legs. Hahahaha I didn't know you get worried and carried away that easily" I said in between my breaths as I was laughing at how my joke got her to be uncomfortable.

"Oh my you scared me. But you know am serious. Your parents love you so much. They will miss you when u are away. You are pretty lucky to have such sweet and adorable parents who joke around and are trying to put a smile on your face even when they are sad that they won't be seeing you for two weeks." I gave her a smile and a nod confirming her words that am truly lucky. And with that being said and done, we had arrived at the shores and some of the students were already there.

We alighted and went to stand next to the present students as we waited for the reyat to arrive as well as the supervisor. And in just a few seconds they arrived. The supervisor come and told us that we were a group of ten students from different grades and we were leaving for a research trip where each student had a different project to do. He also said that the trip was a two weeks trip and we will also be toured around the other sides of the island whenever we were free and also allowed to do shopping and whatever we wanted fron the other sides of the island. He finished by introducting us to a couple who were going to be our Captains as well as our supervisors and assistants on the projects when we were on the island. And the two introduced themselves as Captain Nathan and Captain Natasha.

We all that being said and done, everyone got luggage and belongings and went towards the yatch that was going to ship us to the island.

On the yatch, we got to know each others names and the projects each of us were doing. We come to know that we were five girls and five boys team. The girls were Sophia, Pinky, Jane, Ariya and Sneha. While the boys were Jack, Regan, Robert, Ajit and Mohan.

We also learnt that Ariya was going to study the weather patterns on the island, Jane was doing house decor and house keeping, Sneha was doing a project on the species of fishes, Sophia was doing a research on island vegetation, Jack was going to do water organism, Robert had the water plants project, Regan the island animals thing, Ajit was going to be our cook since he's almost graduating after doing cooking and his project was cooking with spices on islands, Mohan was going to do bearings and directions while I was doing business marketing and advertising so that means I'll mostly be on the shore of the side of the island trying to talk to business owners and advertising companies.

It was a great time knowing each other but we all were still very curious of the situation on the island and how our lives will change in these two weeks because we were all certain that this trip will surely change our lives since the bonding will determine our relationship after leaving the island as well as the projects wilk be submitted to our school for our graduations determining our careers.

So how was it 😁😁😁?

I am sorry it took me so long to continue with updating the story. I was facing some problems with schooling but now it's sorted out and I hopefully it won't pop up again.
