Chapter 5

Saturday October 20th 2010

I was just stepping out of the shower. I decided casual was the way to dress today. I pulled a black pair of skinny jeans, a purple tank top, and a black cardigan out of my closest. I dressed quickly, I plugged in my blow dryer and began my work. Once my hair was dry I straightened the frizzy mess. I left my hair down, the length of my hair, to me, was impressive. It reached to the middle of my back. I went simple with my makeup, I lined my eyes with a black kohl, and added a cat liner look with my liquid liner. I looked at the time and seen that it was now 7:00pm. I'm not worried though. I scored some front row seats. I paid more than I wanted, but I have a good paying job. I shut everything off and locked my doors, I made my to my car, starting it I pulled out of my drive way and made my way to Annie's house.

..........

Annie and I were in the middle of the front row in the Royal Oak Theater. Its 7:50 right now. Now all we had to do was wait ten more excruciating minutes. Music pounded through the speakers, the song was unknown to me, but it gave a good beat. So Annie and me began dancing trying to pass time by. Eventually the lights on stage shut off, the instrumental part of Not Afraid blared throughout the stadium, announcing Eminem's arrival. Strobe lights started pounding away with the bass, smoke shot out of tubes in the floors. Sparks sprang out of their hiding places, and everyone yelled, some whistled they all welcomed Eminem to the stage. Me I was screaming my head off, haha I just couldn't believe I was here watching from the front row. A couple seconds later Eminem stepped upon stage, every female, including me, basically had an orgasm when we seen him. We all danced, and jumped up and down to the beat of the first song he rapped. When he finished the last line of Not Afraid, he spoke to the crowd.

"Fuck it's good to see you all! An to actually see your faces clearly. Ya all know that I over dosed awhile ago on drugs. Well I made it through, I got my second chance at life. I'm pretty damn happy about that. Hell I celebrated my 38th birthday just a couple days ago, man is it good to be alive." The beats to the next song came on. The end of this song came quickly, time sure does pass when your having the time of your life. "Now I want to speak to you all for a minute. This has been on my mind since last Saturday night. Guys I met this amazing girl, I didn't know her for long, but I instantly felt that connection. The only things I got from her that night was her name, and this bow." He pulled a sea foam green bow out of his hoodie pocket. I froze, that was the bow I had gave to the mystery guy. "I thought it was pretty thoughtful that she gave this to me. Also I'm happy to say I see that same girl here in this crowd." He continued, looking at me and giving me a beautiful smile. I smiled back of course, I was still frozen to my spot, it was like time completely froze and it was just me and him in this room. I didn't catch what he continued to say, but he clipped my bow to his military hat. My smile grew at this action. "This song is dedicated to this girl." He said. The beat to Space Bound played through the speakers. As he rapped throughout the song he never really took his eyes off me.

"I'm a space bound rocket ship

And your hearts the moon,

and I'm aiming right at you, right at you

250 thousand miles on a clear night in June,

And I'm aiming right at you, right at you, right at you." He really looked at me when he sang along to the chorus of his song. Lets just say the concert went by a lot faster than I wanted it to. People were now in line to go backstage to meet Eminem. I did, and I didn't want to go back there. I was extremely nervous. Annie, however was not.

"I can't believe Eminem was your mystery guy!" She beamed.

"Shush! I don't want people to know okay." I replied in a hushed whisper. The line had moved up, we were getting closer to him. My nerves have skyrocketed, my knees are weak, my stomach doing tumbles. A thin coat of perspiration appeared upon my porcelain skin. Soon we were just three people infringement of us. I reached for Annie's hand, wanting a sense of comfort. Three, two, finally the last person before us walked off. Annie stepped up first, I behind her.

"Hey, I'm Annie. I'm one of your many fans an I just want to say I appreciate your music. Plus be nice to my friend I don't want to have to hurt you."

"Annie!" I shrieked pulling her to face me. "Why did you say that."

"Because he needs to know that you.." a clearing of a throat made us turn, we were met with an amazing smile.

"You two will be escorted to my dressing room." He said. I just gazed at him in amazement. He looked so hot with that bow still hooked to his hat, the color of the bow brought out his dazzling eyes.

"Oh, okay." Annie answered. I just stood there unable to find the words I so desperately wanted to say.
