Huening Kai woke up, feeling immense pain in his kidneys. He heard a groan of pain next to him. He looked and was surprised to see Soobin laying in a hospital bed next to him. He was scared in case something happened to him. "Soobinie? Hyung?"
Soobin stirred. He heard someone calling his name. He opened his eyes to meet Huenings beautiful ones. "Baby?" Soobin mumbled barely aware he was even talking. Kai smiled. What happened? A nurse walked in. "The transfer was a success. Now we shall wait and see how Huening Kai acts and if he still has the cancer." Soobin nodded. Kai looked stunned. Transfer? What? Nothing could get rid of his cancer. What was she talking about? "Soobinie Hyung... what happened?"
Soobin smiled and told Kai everything, including Yeonjun confessing his love. He left out the part about telling Yeonjun that he loved Kai... he didn't mention it at all. Kai looked extremely confused. "So.. he just all of the sudden admitted it to you? That's kind of weird Hyung." He laughed. Soobin studied the boys face. He looked tired, and a bit sad. "But I bet you love him too right?" Huening Kai said depressingly Soobin couldn't help but notice.
"What? No. I- I love someone else... and I should probably tell them haha..." he mumbled. Kai looked at him curiously. "I should probably tell the person I love that I love them too... I'm just terrified they won't feel the same and it'll ruin our friendship you know?"
Soobin nodded at Kai's words. Boy did he ever know. He realized now is the time to do it. Kai may not last long. The kidney might not have worked. Might not have saved him... "Hyuka, Baby... I have to tell you something. It's really important. I need to tell you before it's too late."
Hyuka nodded for him to go on his heart hopeful.
"Promise you won't hate me no matter what?"
"Hyung! How could I ever hate you?"
"well... okay... Huening Kai I-"
His phone rang. He sighed. "I'm sorry Kai. One second. Taehyun? Is that you? What do you need?"
Taehyun had laughed in relief. Soobin was okay. "Soobinie!! Your okay! Thank god. Look, Yeonjun is a mess. He told me everything and... tell Kai. You need too."
Soobin turned red. "I was actually just going to right now until you called me.. Kai is fine by the way the transfer was successful thankfully. We're just waiting now to see how it reacts to his body."
They said goodbye and soobin turned to Kai. "I'm sorry Kai. Um about what I was saying..."
Kai waited hopefully. "It's okay Hyung. Go ahead. I need to say something too." Soobin took a deep breath. "Huening Kai. I love you. I've loved you for a while I jus never realized. I am in love with you. Your stunning beauty, your eyes, they are like a pool and I'm drowning in them.. your heart so big and pure, your such a sweetie. You mean everything to me. You are so funny and you always know how to make me laugh on a bad day. Huening Kai I love every single thing about you and if you don't feel the same I understand-"
And suddenly, Kai's lips were on his. Kai had leaned over to soobin and pressed his lips against his soft ones. Soobin melted against the kiss. He had never imagined it would feel this good kissing Kai. His lips were as soft as a pillow. He poked his tongue in kai's lips asking for entrance to his mouth. Kai opened his mouth allowing Soobin's tongue to explore. Kai tasted like cotton candy, and vanilla. Their tongues were battling for dominance which kai's won. They separated gasping for breath. Kai looked and felt happier then he'd done in ages. "I love you to Soobinie Baby. I've loved you for so long. I thought I'd never have a chance..."
Soobin's heart stopped. "But what about the person you were telling me about?"
Huening Kai looked confused then he laughed. "You dummy, I was talking about you!"
Soobin laughed with him. He was filled with euphoria, and he couldn't be happier. "So.. are we like dating now or what?" Huening Kai teased. Soobin nodded. "Guess we are baby." And they kissed once more. This was going to be a good day.
