It's been a hectic two days since we've been here. Cass is still an angel as she was before but that doesn't mean she hasn't been crying every two hours as most babies do. I picked Cass up making face's as I did to make her giggle. I changed her as Draco came in from taking the bags to the car and a nurse following him. She asked if she could take Cass to weigh her and make sure she was alright before we left. I looked over her shoulder as she weighed her noticing she had weighed less than when she was firstborn.

" Why does she weigh less?" I asked as the nurse wrote down her weight on the paper. She gave me a sweet smile using her stethoscope to check her heartbeat.

" Don't worry that's normal she'll start gaining weight before your first check-in," She said patting my arm before leaving. I picked Cass up walking over to Draco who was sitting on the bed.

" She'll be fine you heard the nurse," He said smiling. I don't know how he always knows what I'm thinking but in moments like these, I was glad.

" I know," I said strapping Cass in her car seat. " But what if she doesn't start gaining weight? What if something wrong with her? I don't want to lose her again." He stood up hugging me and rubbing circles on my back. I felt tears begin to well in my eyes and spill over as I wrapped my arms around him.

" We won't lose her again," He said. A gurgle made us pull apart and look down at our little girl. I laughed wiping my tears away and put my hand on her cheek as she closed her eyes going back to sleep.

" I love our little family," I said and he nodded picking the car seat up and taking my hand in his other hand. " Can I carry her?" I asked scared that he might drop her. He nodded giving the car seat over. I sighed smiling as he opened the final door as we left the hospital. I hooked her car seat up and sat in the back with her.

" My two beautiful girls," Draco said smiling in the rearview mirror. I smiled back before looking at Cass, I would do anything to make her happy and safe. She'll need me the most so I'll be there the most, I decided.

In the following days, we finally had everyone over and my heart was in my throat. What if someone was sick? What if Sebastion, Minnie or Ellie cry and it wakes her up? The little meet up wasn't even going to be that long since she was still so young but I was going crazy thinking about it. What if someone dropped her? I needed to calm down before they got here.

Draco's POV

I opened the door as everyone came in with gifts, mostly diapers and clothes. I told them to just set them on the dining table for now. " Y/n's just upstairs in the nursery she should be coming down soon," I told them and they nodded before sitting down and talking. I sta beside Blaise who was on the love seat with Ellie, Pansy nowhere in sight.

" She hasn't even been home in weeks," He sighed shaking his head but smiled as Ellie reached up to him with a gummy smile. She was the youngest besides Cassie being only three months. Sebastian and Minnie were both sitting between their mothers hitting the couch and laughing. Sebastian was only using one hand as he held a teething ring on his other hand.

" I can't believe we're parents," I said shaking my head with a smile as I looked at all the family and friends in our house, mostly Y/n's friends though.

" I'm shocked you are," Blaise said with a chuckle. " I thought you were going to be a player until you died, maybe have kids you didn't know about." He laughed again causing Ellie to laugh too. He smiled with all the love in the world down at his daughter.

" You're a great father Blaise," I said smiling at my long time friend.

" I try to be," He said. " Where are your girls?" He asked. I got up to find out what was taking them so long. I opened the door to the nursery seeing Y/n with Cass in her arms sitting on the rocking chair.

" Are you coming down? Everyone's excited to see Cass," I asked but she shook her head/d I scrunched my eyebrows together going over to her. " Why not?" I asked trying to understand what was going on since she's been so protective over her since she was born, she hardly let me hold her. She was running herself ragged trying to take care of Cass by herself when she didn't have to.

" What if someone's sick? She's can't get sick Dray, do you remember Ellie? It was so horrible for Blaise and she was older than Cassie is. Or what if someone drops her? So many things could go wrong," She rambled out. I kneeled beside her rubbing her arm as she took a breath trying to clear the tears. " I don't mean to be rude or anything Draco I'm just so scared. I don't know what's wrong with me, I hate it when I'm not with her but I know I need to sleep so I can be there when she needs me. I hate it when you hold her and you're her father! I shouldn't feel this way." The tears were falling now making my heart clench at the sight. I took Cass gently from her placing her in the crib before hugging Y/n.

" Hey, it's oka. We'll figure this out together okay? We can ask the doctor next week and I'm sure he can help you," I said trying to reassure her and she nodded. " If it makes you feel better you can stay at the bottom of the stairs and I'll tell them not to get to close just so they can take a look. Your parents and my mum are very excited to see their granddaughter."

" That sounds okay," She said with a sniffle. I nodded kissing her on the head before going back down.

" Okay so she doesn't want you all to get to close or hold Cassie but she's going to come down so you can see her," I told everyone. They all nodded standing up so they could all get a good look. I called up the stairs for her to come down.

" Hi," She said in a quiet voice holding a bundle of blankets with a baby's face barely poking out. She held her up a little more so everyone could see and they awwed smiling. " Thank you guys for coming but I think I'm going to go back upstairs." With that, she left. I sighed giving an apologetic smile to everyone.

" Well I guess that means it's time for us to leave," Hermione said with a small laugh picking up her diaper bag as Ron picked up Seb, it'd be the other way with me and Y/n. Mum came up to me placing a hand on my shoulder as everyone else began to leave.

" She'll come around, it's her motherly instinct just give her time," She said.

" She doesn't even let me hold her though mum," I said with a sigh as I sat down on the stairs with her following. " Am I doing something wrong? Does she not trust me?" I asked.

" No she does trust you, trust me I did the same thing with you, it should go away as she gets older but it might also be a good idea to ask for professional help just in case. They have a lot of ways to help with this stuff now," She said and I nodded sighing. " You'll get through this and tell her if she needs anyone to talk to I'm here for her. I know what she's going through." With that, she got up and left after hugging me. I walked up the stairs seeing Y/n still holding Cass.

" Here," She said handing her over tentatively. " I don't want you to think you're doing anything wrong or that I don't trust you." I felt my mouth fall open as she said that. She began fiddling with her hands as she looked down.

" You heard that?" I asked and she nodded. " I'm sorry love I-I shouldn't have said that I know you're having a hard time right now." I began swaying as Cass began winning make /m

's head snap up before she started reaching for her but stopped herself as Cass calmed down.

" Wow, you're amazing at that," She said with a forced smile. I laughed lightly before giving Cass back knowing she needed her more than me.

" You're amazing at being a mother," I said giving her a peck before leaving to cook dinner and bring the supplies up.
