Adolescence. I suppose many people would consider this time their most memorable, momentous, and marvelous. Memorable and momentous, yes, however my adolescent years are rarely looked upon with such a gay word as marvelous. I do hold events in this time accountable for my fortune of over a hundred million dollars at the age of thirty-nine, my title of “Savior of the World”, my nobel peace prize, and most importantly, my sister’s current state. Nonetheless, I have never in my entire life looked back on this time with a smile. I do have short snippets of fond memories, but those are quickly taken over by macabre images. Many of my peers, millennials, as many call us, have suffered the pain of self-harm, failed and succeeded suicide attempts, rape, substance addiction and abuse, mental illnesses, and any morbid crime seen on the television. Unfortunately, my gruesome, repugnant, abhorrent tale is worse than what any victim of the above crimes can conjure. After close to twenty years, the world will finally see how we came to be.
