i have always been alone as my parents both work overseas most of the time, but i get by as i kind of liked being alone. My mother was a fashion designer and my father was the CEO of a company so we were a well off family. I shot up to the sound of my alarm clock and rubbed my face, even though i loved being alone i hated getting ready in the morning. it was always cold and eerily quiet.
i walked into the bathroom and got ready for school, i glanced in the reflection and chuckled at my messy bed hair. my long mousy brown hair tangled in knots and sticking up all over the place. i turned on the shower letting steam fill the room and as i stepped in the hot water relaxed my body. when i got out i changed into some warm clothes as it was damn cold out as it was mid November and about to snow outside. as i wrapped my thick wool scarf around my neck i put some makeup on to make myself look a little less dull.
My walk to school was rather long but i didn't want to drive my car as it would bring attention my way which was not what i wanted. i hated attention more than anything, i would rather be bullied than be popular with their fake lives and never ending spending.
I sighed as i walked into the school grounds as i saw the popular girls eye me up and down but they should look at themselves. they were in short and skimpy clothes that were not at all suitable for the absolutely freezing cold weather.
My first class what AP Chemistry which wasn't my favourite but i got by with an A, so as i glanced out the window at the grey skies i heard a motorbike pull into the school car park. My eyes were glued on him as he swung himself off his bike and man as he pulled off his helmet my eyes were met with a jaw dropping handsome man. His hair framing his features as it fell perfectly on his forehead, yet as he faced my direction his face sporting a large bruise. i knew he would be a bad boy who fought, i thought in the back of my head making me turn my attention back towards the teacher.
By the time the bell went for lunch i walked into the hallway and slowed when i saw the popular people blocking my way. I tightened the grip i had on my books and tried to walk passed them but it wouldn't work.
"Oh my gosh! Lia how nice to see you" the tall blonde bubbled
"um.. hey" i said quietly
"So why are you here in the hallway?" she asked and i tilted my head in confusion, i mean i was in the hallway because i was at school and heading to my locker.
"my.. locker" i said pointing down the hall and she sneered
"ah yea i forgot how much of a loser you are" she said "maybe you should just leave, or just vanish i dont care what i just dont want to see you here, you ruin my day"
she waltzed away and her posy followed in suit, i scurried off to the library. i found an empty isle and sat down pulling all my books out. i loved the library it was so peaceful and i could be there for hours without anyone knowing i was there. I was broken from my reading trance when the bell rang. i walked into my art class and sat down in my usual seat. As the teacher began to explain the lesson for today the door swung open revealing the new guy i saw this morning.
"Mr Jason Anderson please arrive to my class on time" the teacher snapped
"..whatever" he said and walked to the only table with seats.... mine
I pulled my hand through my hair and wondered if he would hit me or insult me or treat me like the others do. the chair he pulled out made a loud scrapping noise and he sat down silently next to me. I immersed myself in my work and started drawing the items on the table in front of me but i could feel the burning gaze of the badboy beside me. i couldn't look up as he was terrifying, but curiosity got the best of me as i glanced over my shoulder.
"what" he said making me look away instantly
"no..its nothing" i said stumbling on my words
"nice drawing" he said making me look back at him
"thank you" i thanked and gave a small smile
i looked him over and as he sat there with his large hoodie and ripped skinny jeans, hair looking like a picture prefect bad boy along with the black eye. he also looked intriguing as i wondered what he was really like, not what others perceive him as.
the bell went and i went to my last class, but as the end of the day rolled around i walked out into the cold and watched as everyone else hopped into there car and drove off. I tightened the scarf around my neck when i saw Mr. Bad boy walk out and hop onto his bike and ride off.
walking in to my home was cold and dark but i walked into my bedroom and turned on the heater and wrapped myself up in blankets. i put on a movie when i heard the door go, i jogged down and opened the door revealing... Jason Anderson.
"Umm hello" i said as i opened the door
"my father asked me to invite the neighbours over" he said blankly
"oh okay um well i'm home alone but i can come say hi if you would like" i said "come in while i grab some shoes"
as he walked in awkwardly i rummaged through my room for my shoes and when i walked back to where Jason was he was stood quietly.
"its rather quiet in here" he said
"yeah my mother is a fashion designer and my father is the CEO of his company in Italy" i said as we walked towards the front door and he hummed in response.
as i walked with him he seemed a little tense but i thought nothing of it, he opened the door and walked me in. a middle aged man walked in and shook my hand.
"hello deer, i am Martin, Jason's father"
"Hello i am Lia, my parents are overseas at the moment so its just me for a little while" i said with a small smile
"nice to meet you, would you like to stay for dinner?" he asked and i looked over at Jason
"i dont know, i dont want to get in the way" i said fiddling with my hands
"no no please do stay" Martin said and i agreed
As we sat there it was kind of awkward but what can i say i am a rather quiet and reserved person so what was a meant to do. after eating Jason offered to walk me back and as we got to my house we both paused.
"if you ever need anything i'm always free" i said walking in
"ok" was all he said and walked away
