Ch 1: feelings on a fish hook

Rengoku walked the halls of his high school, it was the first day of junior year and it was completely empty, he had to get dropped off early since his father had work and couldn't drive him and Senjuro any later. He looked and the ceilings to the floor had been changed, everything redecorated and re designed. It was strange being there early for him, he was used to seeing his two best friends Uzui and y/n. They sat under a shady tree outside in the courtyard normally. He hadn't seen them all summer and honestly was a bit worried, all of them had most likely gone through dramatic changes. Rengoku had been out working all summer and definitely had gained some muscle and grew his hair out a bit. Who knew what y/n and Uzui would look like. He couldn't stop thinking about his friends all summer and couldn't wait to see their faces.

Rengoku walked over to the tree and sat down, he was going to patiently wait an hour for them to arrive.

About an hour later a sleeping Rengoku was awoken by you, you were sitting on Rengoku's lap and your chest was right in his face "Rengoku-san, wake up" you smiled.

He fluttered his eyes open and gazed at your chest but then realized you were sitting on his lap and panicked "Ah-" he covered his mouth before he could freak out more, but that wasn't the only thing he could conceal for long.

He took his hands off his mouth and cleared his throat "excuse me y/n-Chan..uh could you get off?" He smiled awkwardly.

"Oh I almost forgot" you laughed to yourself and got up, dusting your short school uniform skirt off. "How was your summer Rengoku-san?"

He stood up quickly and pushed pieces of his messy unkempt hair back "it was great, I had fun working with my brother Senjuro, I missed you a lot though.." he said a bit shyly and was literally trying his hardest to not look at your chest.

He was right, you had changed drastically, your body was so gorgeous and your hair looked so much more smoother and softer.

"Aww, you big sweetheart, come here" you wrapped your arms around him and hugged him tight "I missed you a lot too" you were still pretty short compared to Rengoku but it didn't bother you too much.

He hugged you back and the whole time his face was bright red, he couldn't see thankfully but you could hear his heart rate increasing slowly.

You pulled away from the hug and looked at him. You crossed your arms and scanned his body "are you ok Rengoku-san? Your heart rate was pretty fast"

"Y-yeah" he nodded quickly "I'm just nervous, it's our first day back and I still haven't seen Uzui yet" he partially lied.

"You were saying" Uzui had snuck up behind Rengoku and put his hands on his shoulders. Uzui had majorly changed, he gained more muscle, grew his hair out, and had grown a few inches...

"Uzui-kun!" Rengoku shouted and smiled widely. He turned around and gave Uzui a bear hug "how are you?"

Uzui had picked Rengoku up a little while hugging him but quickly set him down after and let go of him "I've been good, y/n-chan and I missed you" he pouted and gave him puppy dog eyes.

"I missed you guys too, I'm sorry we didn't spend this summer together but I promise next summer we'll all be hanging out and having a blast before fourth year" he smiled.

You cleared your throat and looked at the two boys "I don't mean to intrude but do you guys remember him, he sure is getting a lot of attention?" You pointed over to the fountain where another Junior was being flocked by girls.

Uzui was able to see who it was "you've gotta be fucking kidding me-" Anger grew inside Uzui like you'd never seen before.

"What, who is he?" Both you and Rengoku had asked.
