It's been 2 weeks, and Akane honestly forgot about that dream for a little while.

When she had told Chen Guo and Tang Rou about it at school the day she had it, though, they had all sorts of ideas and theories.

"It could be a love interest!" Chen Guo had proposed enthusiastically, leading to Akane sputtering unintentionally. The brunette had also been munching on a granola bar at the time.

"Maybe it means you're going to realize something in the future," suggested Tang Rou, whose right cheek had been leaning against her own right hand. "You do ride a motorcycle to school, after all."

"Yeah, I do," Akane had answered.

"They maybe something will happen with you and your motorcycle," she added uncertainly. She was never a dream interpreter. "I'm not 100% sure, though. It could be just a random dream, too."

"But you did say that everything was cast in the Sun's light, right?" chimed in Chen Guo, who had finished her granola bar while Akane and Tang Rou were conversing.

"Yeah," confirmed Akane. What wild theory was Guo Guo—their nickname for her—gonna come up with this time?

Chen Guo had a smug smile on her face. "That could mean fortune," she said, crossing a leg over another coolly. "Maybe something good's gonna happen to you." But she wasn't done. "And since a handsome guy showed up during that time, it's most likely a love interest!" she finished, clasping her hands like it was the truth.

As if.

A love interest? No way was that possible, especially in university.

At least... that's what Akane of the past believed.

The whole time at lunch that day, they had been conversing in a mix of Chinese and English because Akane wanted to improve her Chinese with native speakers, and she insisted they talk to her in Chinese. Chen Guo and Tang Rou had no problem with that.

"Please tell me if I made any mistakes," pleaded Akane, her posture tense. Turns out she still didn't shake off that uncomfortable feeling she had that she wasn't the best she could possibly be. Her arrogance could only hide that feeling for so long, so it was comforting for her to be able to let loose with her friends. "It's been a little while since I last spoke in Chinese."

"Your Chinese is really good, though," commented Tang Rou, changing the subject since they were like most students and studied for at least an hour during their lunch break. Yeah, there was no time to be talking about dreams. For example, Akane and Tang Rou already had their first music rehearsal after school, and Chen Guo had a test after lunch.

"Please tell me if this is the correct nanocrystallite for this molecular structure," Chen Guo moaned helplessly when the conversation had drifted to her test after lunch, pointing at her neat notes. They all had neat notes. "Is it iron?"

Lunch had ended and the 3 women went to do their own thing before the end of the day arrived and Akane and Tang Rou agreed to meet at the music room to warm up together.

They both had skill in the piano, and Tang Rou wanted to learn how to play the bass on the side. So far, she was decent at it. Akane, on the other hand, wanted to be mesmerizing on the piano only since there were so many different notes that had the capability to tug at her heartstrings when she played them right.

A/N:

My writing now makes everything appear all over the place, holy. I apologize if it's confusing. Next chapter, I'll try to make it a little less... like this.

I hope you still enjoyed! I'm actually having fun with this story, lol.
