Chapter 1

NICO POV

I lay on the floor of my school's bathroom, waiting for school to end, when I hear footsteps. I close my eyes as the four boys walk into the bathroom. It's Octavian,Luke,Conner and Travis. "Awww, did little mister bulimeia get sick again?" Octavian asks pretending to be worried. I was trembling in fear. "P-please not t-today." I stuttered. Tears running down my face. That's when I felt a shoe come into contact with my stomach. They continued kicking and punching me. Then the bell rang. In the midst of the chaos I heard someone walk into the bathroom. I shut my eyes tighter, hoping it wasn't someone else coming to beat me up. I heard someone someone yelling and the beating suddenly stopped. That's all I can remember before everything stopped and turned black.

PERCY POV

A FEW MINUTES BEFORE BELL

I stare at the clock waiting for it to hit 2:45. Only a few seconds left. 10.9.8.7.6.5.4.3.2.1. I hear the high pitch ring of the bell and run to the bathroom thinking 'I hate not being able to use the bathroom during swim practice.' As I run into the bathroom I see the four people I hate the most beating up a kid that's laying in a pool of his own blood and vomit. "What he'll are you doing!?!?!" I yell as I run in front of the kid on the floor, taking multiple kicks and punches for him. I punch Luke in the face causing him to fall back, and kick Octavian in the stomach an he ends up on the ground holding his stomach. The twins ran away not wanting to get injured too. I pick up the small teenager ,who is now unconscious, and carry him to my car and begin driving
