At 3AM, Mia was not summoning demons, doing homework, or eating chocolate spaghetti.

During the day,  Mia's life felt so full and cluttered.  She was stuck, homework, chores, and social obligations.  It's not that she didn't enjoy her life.  She had fun, hanging out, looking at memes, doing....some of the more interesting classes.

But for some reason, it never felt right to write.  Even if she was doing nothing else.  She enjoyed writing.  But during the day, it felt weird, and exposing for her to type.  She almost felt, well, safer, in the dark, screen lighting up her face as she filled out paragraphs and paragraphs.

Mia wasn't an idiot.  She knew she needed sleep, so she did sleep.  She had started to set alarms at 3AM, waking her up to live her double life.  She would type a bit, always checking the time, and after a bit of time, some days only half an hour, and others until 6AM, she would go back to sleep.  The next morning at 7, she would wake up, and head to school, her secret nighttime pocket of time left unnoticed.

It did hurt her health a bit.  She couldn't do it as often as she'd like.  But she kept at it, even if it is ony to practice, because she truly knew, that no matter what life threw at her, she would always find some way to keep writing, and she wasn't going to give it up.

Her phone was silenced and ignored, outside of her room and powered off.  So in the morning, she always replied to her friends messages.

"I was sleeping why u awke lol"

Maybe someday she would tell them the truth.  Maybe someday they could even help her.  Maybe it would be nicer, sharing with her friends.

Her fears were so  ridiculous, but somehow they still managed to control her like this.  Being confident enough to share would take some work, and it was a different type of confidence she needed to learn.
