Monoceros stood at the edge of the diamond, staff in hand, cape billowing in the wind. She grinned slightly to herself. Today, in Eden, things were beautiful. The sky was blue and clear, the children learning of her land were happy, the water was fresh, the flowers were blooming. It was perfect.

The perfect day for the other elders to come to visit her.

She couldn't wait.

Monoceros smiled as the children examined her land. Every 'ooh' and 'ahh' made her feel fluttery inside. Every gasp when they spotted the diamond.

Every child tried to climb the diamond.

None succeeded.

Only elders could climb it.

However, the children thought that she was a child. They didn't know she was the Eden elder. She looked like a regular child to them. One with a purple bat cape with a fluffy collar and long flowy hair with a neat braid on one side. One that was short and carried a staff on her back. One that was a genius because she had made it to the top of the diamond.

As Ceros waited for the elders to appear, the sky began to darken. The ground began to shake.

And the Krill came.

---

Ceros rushed towards the children, but they ran. They spread out, and the Krill attacked. Ceros watched as their light was stolen from them and their bodies turned to stone. There they stood, reaching for the diamond, the one place they could think of to go. The one safe place.

And they would never reach it.

She collapsed to the ground, her small body shaking in fear. Her image flickered. Her cape became black as the collar raised to protect her face. She grew slightly taller, her hair being ruffled by the wind and shortening, black consuming the bright white color.

She reached up and tore her mask from her face, shattering in against the ground, before positioning it to mask her identity again.

Her eyes, previously filled with tears, became red with rage for what the Krill had done to her people. Her land. She got to her feet, new determination filling her.

That was when she heard them. She heard the elders. They had come. She turned to face them.

The first to reach her were Gem and Ini, the fastest. They were at her side, moving as quickly as lightning, swords in hand, ready to fight.

"Ceros," Auriga called. "Ceros, what happened?"

"The Krill. They came. They killed them-the children. I-I couldn't do anything," she said, tears sliding down her face.

"You can do something now," Gem and Ini said together. They kinda creeped her out.

And she did. She ran towards the fight, ready to give it her all, ready to save her kingdom.

---

Ceros was so caught up in the fight that she didn't notice the Krill's eye go purple, finally having found someone to strike. She didn't see it looming above her. She didn't see it dive.

All she saw-all she felt-was it impale her. She felt herself go flying and hit the ground. She felt her light fading. She saw the other elders drop their weapons and rush towards her.

"Ceros," they whispered. "Ceros, you can't go. We need you." Tears fell from their eyes, hitting the ground.

"I'll be fine," she said.

"No, you won't. You're not going to make it. You can't go."

"Get out of here," she whispered. "I don't want you to see me ascend."

"We're not leaving. Us elders are supposed to stick together. We're not leaving you when you need us most."

With the little energy she had left, she reached into her cape pocket and pulled out her candle. "Take it. Put it on the shrine. Light it. And one day, I will return." Then, with her last strength, she put it and her staff into the elder's hands, letting her last light slip away.

Her body turned to stone, and she was gone.

And as soon as her candle was lit, her constellation shined brightest, and for a second, you could almost see her waving goodbye.

---

Years later, the candle still stood in the shrine. It still flickered different colors every so often.

And one day, her candle shone brightly, almost as if she really had returned.

And you could almost see the star fall from the sky to give birth to another new sky child.

Or one that had existed before.

Hi, this is my first Sky fanfiction! I really hope you enjoy it. Now, there will be a few changes made for the story.

Instead of Eden's constellation being a crown, it's a unicorn. (Because Monoceros is the unicorn constellation).

Only docile Krill have blue eyes. The others always have red ones, and it turns purple when they catch someone.

Krill also have beast forms (in-game) and more humanoid forms.

Chibi is not a mask, it's size, so chibi's can have other types of masks.

Later in the book, there will be a land that I created (my dreams technically).

The game, Sky: Children of the Light is not mine. I do not own the rights to it, this is fanfiction.

If you don't know that game, I'm very confused about why you're reading this. If you don't, check it out, it's an awesome game!

I'm not accepting Sky friends, except for a few of you. (Specifically @Sproutchild0mosshorn , @_Starspeaker_ , and @DragonsAtFlight ) If any of you three want to be my friends, tell me, and I'll send you an invite!

Hope you enjoy!

P.S. This book will have help from my close friends from Sky and real-  life (One is @ASingularFox , the other is @TypingIsFun ) The idea also came from one of them. And yeah, most of the characters are based off of my friends. (Sorry if none of the usernames work. I'm kinda new to this.)
