Princess Edith and Lillian were born on the same day, but Edith came out of her mother's womb eight seconds before her younger sister. So, she felt responsible for her. They were as different as the night and day, darkness and light.
Edith was fierce and firm, she was a merciless and relentless creature. Lillian on the other hand was gentle and generous, she was a kind and quiet being. But both sisters sincerely cared for each other. They believed in monotheism, highly regarded their parents and loved their kin. Edith was a ferocious warrior, but she cared about all living, breathing beings. Lillian wanted to fall-in-love, she was the embodiment of purity.
Compared to the princesses, Lord Dragos and Casimir weren't much different from each other. Both were royalty. They had power and fame, were murderers and lawless. Both of them lacked ethics. Their moral compass was non-existent. They didn't believe in providence, or love.
After a sinister incident, Edith and Lillian were both sent to another planet to fulfill their parents' combined wish. They just wanted them to prosper, succeed and marry. The only problem was... they were human, and the planet belonged to ancient vampire lords.
Also, their father was Vlad Dracula, the ruler of Romania who just wanted their well-being. Lady Marjorie - their mother was a kind, Valarian woman. She was a commoner before her marriage to their father. Even though she understood the dangerous circumstances, she still sided with her husband.
But the choice was ultimately theirs' to make as no one forced them in any way or form. They just wanted to make their parents proud and happy.
But Valaria and Romania weren't populated by blood-sucking parasites. Earth was mostly run by humans, though their father was an exception.
Vrancea on the other hand was a dull, dark place. It wasn't a planet, it was more like a black hole. Archaic vampire lords ruled over it. Its terrains were barren and bare. There was no sign of water. The climate was hostile.
Edith was adamant at first but she just couldn't go against her father's wishes. All she needed to do was to protect Lillian.
