Jimmy "She is on The Code, Grey's Anatomy, Station 20, Riverdale and she plays Eliza in the Hamilton. Please welcome Laura Jacques!" Everyone was clapping for me. "Hi everyone!" Jimmy "Hi Laura" "Hi Jimmy" Jimmy "So I'll start with the question. What happened a few months after you landed this role "So for anyone who doesn't know my best friend's name is Eliza and one day I was walk to the theater because I don't live that far and a hardcore... Jimmy "Hardcore?" "Oh yes Jimmy hardcore Hamilton fan was on the other the sidewalk and was saying Eliza! Eliza! so my best friend turned around and "Yes" and this Hamilton fan said "you're not Eliza" after that's when she realized that it was a Hamilton fan" Jimmy "That's great haha! So how did you first get into Hamilton?" "Haha so I was a snobby thirteen year old okay. So the show came out when I was in middle school and everyone was talking about how great it was and me being thirteen was like "oh my god would y'all just shut up about this musical like it's probably not that good." So I waited four years and then I watched it and they were right. It was really good and now I'm in the show." Jimmy "Yeah exactly. Let's talk about The Code. You got hurt?" "Haha oh my god. Yeah I did." Pippa "I was there!" " Oh my god! Can we get another chair. Phillipa Soo everybody! and yeah she was there" Jimmy "So what happened" " Okay so in the show they use rubber bullets to pretend to shoot things and this guy that you see on the screen was supposed to miss. And I was supposed to act like I shot, low and behold he had impeccable aim and he actually shot me in the knee cap so the reaction that you see in the show is very real that was not acting. I didn't scream because I was more stunned that he didn't miss. I went to the hospital and they told me to take it easy. I was surprised that it wasn't broken. Jimmy "Wow oh my god! I also found this video on YouTube. What's going on here?" "Huh? oh god! That was the first time I met this lovely woman right next to me. I started crying only after I the fact that I told her how much I loved her character. Jimmy "And I heard that you go married recently?" "I did yes!" Jimmy "So what's his name? And how did you meet?" "So his name is Matthew and we actually we met the same way the Pippa and Steven Pasquale met through Jonathan Groff! I swear he's like a matchmaker or something haha" Jimmy "And you had two wedding what?" "I did yeah, so Jonathan officiated my first wedding and my family and friends were there, Um my second wedding... my Memere had asked me if I was going to have a priest marry me as well I said yes so we all went to Canada and the priest who baptized me as a baby married my husband and I again!
