Into The Future (A Kotlc AU Story) [ON TEMPORARY HOLD] ⏳

Chapter 5

Sophie's POV

The morning light seeped through the curtains as I woke up and stretched. My bare feet touched the soft, fuzzy carpet when I stepped off my bed. I looked out of my bedroom and saw Dex and Biana fast asleep on the couch, extremely close to each other. I smiled and shook my head, chuckling softly and went over to the refrigerator. I opened it and looked on one of the shelves in the door. It seems people in the future still eat eggs! I thought, surprised. I began taking out a frying pan to make some scrambled eggs.

I cracked the eggs into the bowl and added some milk, salt, pepper and garlic and parsley seasoning into it. I beat the eggs with a fork and poured the mixture into a hot frying pan. Then, I added some cheese and started pulling the eggs in from the outside of the pan. When the eggs were ready, everyone had already woken up. They took a serving and went to sit on the table.

I suggested that after we finished eating, we should go to explore New York City. Everyone agreed with me and complimented my eggs. I went in my room to change and put on a pair of "jeans" with rips on the knees. I then put on a grey shirt and tied a green jacket around my waist.

When everyone was changed, we headed out of the building with a map. After walking for a while, we came upon a huge park. We entered and saw a lady arguing with a man with a dog.

"Your DoBerMan almost bit my dog!" she exclaimed.

"It's not a doberman." the man replied. Then, the lady started screaming out in fake pain.

"Ow! It's biting me!" she said and fell on the floor dramatically. The man and his dog walked away and I heard him mumble, "What a Karen."

I took note of that. In the future, people called dramatic middle aged women "Karens".

We walked on into the park and saw a sign saying "Central Park Zoo". I suggested that we check it out and we walked in. We paid with the bills our kidnapper had given us and walked inside. There were many animals, including bears, otters, snow monkeys, and red pandas.

Biana noticed that there was a petting zoo for children at the zoo, and she insisted that we go in. We bought some food for the animals and entered the petting zoo. There were goats, cows, sheep, and many other animals like that. Since I used to work on my parents' farm, I was very familiar with the scent of the animals. Biana immediately held her nose and went up to one of the goats.

She gingerly touched one of the horns and fed it a pellet that looked like feces. (A/N: Sorry to be disgusting) As soon as the goat ate the whole thing, Biana ran away squealing in disgust.

"It's tongue was so slimy and warm! Ewwwwww! Gross! Ugh!" she said while shaking her hands to try to get its slimy saliva off of her hands.

After having the whole zoo experience, we left the park in search of somewhere to eat. I spotted a "fast food" restaurant called Chick-fil-A. We entered and were immediately hit with tje smell of delicious chicken and fries.

We ordered some fries, chicken nuggets and four chicken sandwiches. The food came out very quickly, and we ate, savoring every bite. When we were done, I paid with a card that we were provided with. Then, we stepped back out into the busy streets of New York, ready to explore again.
