Well, what do you do when something you don't expect to, happens? Yeah, I was pretty confused. I would hang out for the most part with the others to pass the time. I found out that we were still in Florida, something I should have guessed by the beaches. I also was told who everyone was the child of. Phoenix was the child of Hermes, god of roads, merchants, and thieves. Morgana was the main reason we were so close to the water, Poseidon, the god of the water and everything in it. And finally Blake, or Tank as the others called him, since he was son of Ares, god of war. We don't know what my godparent is, and I'm told that I'd have to learn how to use my abilities before we did. I also learned that the sword I grabbed was also very fortunate, as it was made by a special copper... that somehow is one of the few metals that can hurt monsters. And the jacket and gloves still give me those chills, not bad chills, just I can feel something happen when I put it on. It's been at least two weeks since I joined, Tank was actually chill, that is, when you're well acquainted. He's a really good fighter, and I've been training with him so that next time I'm captured I can actually fight back. Morgana is more of a motherly figure trying to protect and keep us under control. Phoenix is actually exactly as she seems, a happy little ball of pleasantness. I slam open the door to alert the others. Phoenix happily walked up to greet me, Morgana just behind her. "Tank just out back?" I asked. "Yep". I hand them the bags of necessities to find Tank. As I close the back door he says "you're late again". "yeah, well not like you're quick enough to notice". "What is that? Some sort of weak offence? Very close to the source." he and I battered each other. "So, ever think about going back home? try to live a normal life?" I asked. He responded in a no so happy tone, "I sometimes wish I could. It'd be a lot more simple. Then again, angry boy with incredible strength, speed, and durability isn't really for the real world". I just sat there looking out at the coast, almost dark out which means almost time for bed. "Don't forget, you get to keep patrol tonight, so no sleeping on the job." he reminded me. "Oh, right. Well, hope it won't be to cold out". "We're in Florida. You've lived here for most of your life. Stop being stupid before you get killed". He headed inside as I continued to sit along the deck. As the sun retreated behind the horizon I slipped on my jacket and gloves. By the time the fiery sky turned ink black, they were all asleep. Nothing but the glow of the weird bronze and the streetlight to see. I was out in front when there was a rustling from under the porch. I travel down the slope to find nothing. Looking deeper in, I determine it was nothing and turn around, just to run into a main support of the deck. All of them were rotten and gnawed on, so running into it, broke it. The entire porch came crashing down, and I crouch down in defense. When the crashing stopped, I look up and I was not severely hurt, my arm was stuck under the rubble, but the jacket turned itself into a hard black armor. I found the dimly glowing blade and attempted to pry my arm out, when I was startled by Tank and Morgana attempting to see what was going on. "Hey! I'm stuck!" I call out. "Where are you?" they ask. "What are you talking about? I'm right here". I look down to pry my arm, and it's gone, invisible. I pull it out then climb out, and sneak around them. "Right here" I say in Morgana's ear. the reaction was indescribable, but I'll try my best. First thing, she started flailing about, and smacked Tank across the face, then jumped away when he felt him. When she landed, she fell on her rear. Blake got mad and started yelling to thin air. Phoenix rushed out into the chaos and tripped on her own foot. "Ok, to be honest, I don't know how this happened. And I can't reverse it." I try to explain, "though I think it has to do with how excited I've become". "Just quit messing around." Morgana told me. If tonight wasn't bad enough, I introduce, incredible bad luck. Like, just the worst of bad luck. The cops were called because of the noise and we had to find a new building. We heard the sirens off in the distance and packed up our things, but they were on our tail the entire time, till we found a tunnel to small for them to chase us threw. On the other side was a forest, where we run into another kid. Not normal, I'm sure you realized, he was hiding with another kid in a hut hidden behind a stone door. When we ran into him, he realized we were like him because Tank was holding the bronze sword. Then told us to quickly follow him, which Tank was hesitant, but was convinced by the high pitched sirens of police cars. Inside was three rooms, the main room, which was actually quite large. and two bedrooms, all of them carved from stone. Thirty minutes later, the cops stopped searching for them. "So..." I tried to start a conversation, forgetting I was invisible. "Who are you?" Tank continued. "I'm Auston." he said. Now with a better look at him, he was unnaturally tall, and wore a wind breaker and shorts. "Aye, air head, you're back." the second one said. she was a girl with black jeans, and a shirt with a skull on it. "Not now Joey. I just brought back a caravan of demi-gods with me. It's late, and I'm pretty sure all of us need rest". There were a few lights powered by a small water turbine hidden in the waterfall just outside, and that was pretty much it. like a hidden bunker from past wars. I lied on the ground in the main living room cause there was no space anywhere else.
