Mark's POV
I open the game, how is this suppose to work? Do I just beat the game and (F/n) comes back? I've beaten it before, I'm pretty sure I can do it again. I feel like there's a catch though. There's going to be something more to this than just beating the game. I press the start button, "here we go." I'm overwhelmed with fear as the screen goes black. All of a sudden, my vision goes black, as well. Why can I not see anything? What's going on? I try to walk forward into the darkness. I yell to try to see if there's an echo to try to see the scale of the place I'm at, but there's nothing. No echo whatsoever, like all my sound was absorbed into thin air. Then, I see a small spec of something in the distance. What is it? It looks green. I start running towards it. As its size increases, I can tell what it is. It's a tree. There's more of them. As I reach it, I lean on it, out of breath. Then I look back to where I came from now all just trees. Am I literally in the game?
Someone's POV small flashback (you'll figure out who)
Almost done, just a few finishing touches. I've been stuck in this game for far too long. My sanity level is dropping. I can't be held up in here much longer. I can't keep doing the same thing over and over again. I'm sick and tired of getting beaten by that damn Markiplier, too. He thinks he's so great because he can beat my game. I have a new game for him. This will be much more fun for me than him running around the woods in search of my trail of pages. This will be much more interesting. He now has a motive other than simply completing the game. I now have what he loves. And I'm almost done creating my secret weapon to destroy him once and for all.
Done. I've finally finished it. After all this time, studying his move and tactics, I've created my secret weapon. I will have my revenge and with this I am guaranteed to succeed. I press the button with my tentacle to turn him on. "Hello, my name's Darkiplier," his face forms an evil grin, perfect. "Dark, I need you to hold on to the girl until Mark comes, then give her to me." He nods in understanding, "of course, Mr. Slender."
Your POV
"Where's the real Mark," you ask a man who looks very similar to Mark, except different. His skin is grey and his eyes are darker. "Mark is busy playing a game," he says, his voice just as smooth as Mark's, yet it wasn't the same. You see a grin appear upon his face. It almost reminded you of the Grinch. You see trees appear in the darkness that surrounded you. All of a sudden, you're sitting in a forest, strapped to a chair, being watched by this man who looks just like Mark but isn't him. You're trying to soak everything in but it's just so much to take in all at once. After about twenty minutes of him standing there with a grin on his face, he takes off running into the trees. Where he's going, you'll probably never know.
Mark's POV
I have a flashlight in my hand, I'm hit with recognition. This is Slender. I am inside the game, so is (F/n) and I have to save her. I start walking through the trees in search of pages. I actually find the first four fairly easily and peacefully. Only once did my vision get static. I hear leaves rustling behind me. I quickly turn around and point my flashlight in that direction. I'm stunned by what I see. It's me, except it's not. This version of me has grey skin and black eyes. "Who are you?" I ask my mysterious twin. "Oh, Mark. Do you not recognize me? I am Darkiplier," my jaw drops.
I consider running into the trees and losing him, but I doubt I'd be able to actually lose him. "Just tell me what I have to do," I tell Dark. He smiles and evil smile, "You're suppose to play the game, I'm suppose to end it for you." "Look, Dark, you are me. We're like brothers, I just need to find (F/n). Can you tell me where she is?" He laughs, "You think it's just that easy don't you. That's funny. This wouldn't be much of a game if I just led you right to her. You of all people should know how games like this work." "Can you please just not kill me," I beg. I slowly back away, keeping my eyes on him. I turn and run into the trees. I don't hear anything behind me but laughing. My vision goes static as I run into a tree. I look up, it's not a tree. It's Slenderman.
I quickly get back up to my feet and run a direction neither of them were. While I run, I find a page. I grab it and continue sprinting. I hear my own laughter, but ts not me. I know who it is. I take second to catch my breath. I take mental note of how many pages I have. Five. Only three more. Just as I thought that, I looked up and saw another one. Six, only two left.
I hear the laughter again, on top of that I start hearing whispers. I follow them, where are they leading me? I stop and think for a second. The might be leading me straight to him. Straight to either one of them. I continue slower this time. I reach a point where the whispers turn into loud screams, I look at the nearest tree. Seven notes found, only one to go. I hear the laughter even closer this time, I turn around to find where it's coming from. Darkiplier stands about twenty feet from me, holding (F/n) in his arms. But not in a hostage way, in a love kind of way. The way I hold her. I see his hands on her hips. Why is she not trying to escape?
Hey guys! The next parts the end. I'm pretty sad for this story to end. It's been a pleasure to work with MarkimashGirls on this. This is definitely different from what I'm used to writing, and I think it's helped me get out of my comfort zone and grow more as a writer.
Anyway, thanks for reading! Check out my other books, Ton of other Markiplier stuff!
As always, I will see you in the next chapter
Bye Bye!
