Chapter 2: Asking Him

December 11th 2018
Nathan was sitting at His house, Thinking about the situation. Despite Five months passing. He wants to know what's going on, Nicole isn't that type of person. Nathan look at the letter That Nicole left in her Apartment. He kept reading it and Reading it But nothing helped. Couple days after Nicole went missing. Nathan told this to the police. But Closed the case soon because They think it was just a Normal breakup or such which didn't make Nathan happy at all. Nathan got a Call from Wyatt and answered it.

Nathan: Hey Wyatt, What's the matter?

Wyatt: nothing just checking on you.

Nathan: I'm doing alright, Don't worry about it

Wyatt: I was hoping that, Wanna Hang out with the rest of us?

Nathan: Uhh.. maybe not now. I got other things to do..

Wyatt: No problem, Take care

Nathan: You too.

Nathan hanged up the phone as He was looking at the ground, Soon he had an Idea that came through his Mind.

Nathan's mind: Maybe I can ask him.. He understands me.

December 12th 2018. 1:23PM

Nathan was Standing near a Police Station, It was Kinda busy around. An Officer came up to Nathan.

Unfriendly police Officer: Hey, What are you doing here?

Nathan: Oh I uhhh.. Wanted to meet someone

Unfriendly Police Officer: You want to meer a Prisoner?

Nathan: No!, Uhh Detective.. A-

Unfriendly Police Officer: He is busy right now, But I'll ask him for you.

The police officer left as Nathan sighed. He never Dealed with Officers too much. Mostly that guy was looking unfriendly. A few Minutes past The same Officer came to Nathan

Unfriendly Police Officer: He is free, Go talk to him now.

Nathan stared at the Officer, The officer Guided him to The detective's Office. Nathan went inside and Saw A Man looking at Papers.

Nathan: Uhhh..

Unfriendly Police Officer: Detective, He is here.

The officer Left as The Man put his head up and Looked at Nathan

The man was wearing This type of clothing.

Nathan: Alex...

Alex Ambrose is a Detective That solved many cases, He was friends with Nathan too. But due to some cases they couldn't meet often, He is an Intelligent Person too.

Alex: Nathan?

Alex got up from his Seat and Looked at Nathan

Alex: I didn't know you would come to visit.

Nathan: *Sighs* Big reasons...

Alex looked at him a Bit seriously

Alex: what's the Matter? What's going on?

Nathan: I'll explain that to you, But How are you first of all? We haven't met for kinda a long time

Alex: I'm fine.. just Normal Cases.. You?

Nathan: I'm fine too.. Could have been better though

Alex: Explain this to Me Nathan, What's the matter?

Nathan: Well..

They both sat down on The chair and Nathan Explained everything to Alex as Alex was listening, understanding.

Alex: She went missing at Augest Tenth.. She didn't Contacted you nor anything?

Nathan: Never did..

Alex: Have you ever talked to her parents?

Nathan looked at Alex, As some thoughts were going through his head

Nathan: I never Met her parents, Nor never had a talk with them

Alex gave a Look to him.

Alex: I see, Okay Did find anything in her apartment?

Nathan looked at Alex and gave a Letter. Alex was reading Closely. He was a bit Curious about the words She written.

Nathan: I honestly Don't understand it, Nicole was never down nor feeling different anytime.. it's just Giving me thoughts.

Alex: Does anyone live in her apartment now?

Nathan: Not at the moment..

Alex: Tell me the routes, I'll go and Check her apartment out

Nathan: Oh.. uhh May I come with you?

Alex: You know, You told me That you needed help, I can do it myse-

Nathan: Please Ambrose, Nicole is my girlfriend and I love her so much..

Alex: *sighs* Fine, You can come with me.

Both Alex and Nathan got to the car and drove to Nicole's apartment. They got inside and Looked around again. Alex went to her room and was searching around, He went to th closet and Found most of it empty

Alex: Seems like she packed everything she had in her closet and left.

Alex went to the drawer and Found nothing inside. Nathan was just standing and waiting
Alex saw a picture on the floor which was Near end of the Dressing table  and picked it up, It was a Picture of Nicole but it was looking a Bit ripped.

Alex: She ripped her own picture

Nathan: What?

Nathan saw the picture, It happened during her Graduation In college.

Nathan: This is the picture that when she graduated in college

Alex stayed quiet and nodded. He look down if anything more was there. He under the bed to check what's there. He noticed another picture. It was a picture of A Girl hugging Nicole.

Alex: you know her?

Alex pointed at the girl that was hugging Nicole. Nathan was Confused looking at it.

Nathan: I don't really know honestly.. Nicole never showed me that picture nor I ever seen this girl with Nicole or Personally myself.

Alex stared at the picture and kept it in his pockets, They went around the Room, It was a bit empty, Their wasn't anymore Pictures or anything. They both decided to leave the apartment. Nathan and Alex was in the car as Nathan was holding his head.

Alex: You alright?

Nathan: I'm fine, just thinking about this..

Alex: Don't worry, I'll check what I can. And I'll help you

Nathan: thanks Alex

Alex: your welcome.

Alex looked at the picture with Nicole hugging a girl. He was starring at it strangely.
