I was sad, of course. With all the connections they had. They didn't know what it was?? Geez, the only thing that consoled me was focusing on how to make the paper I need. Lutz has been giving me strange looks ever since I asked that question [ the question before we left? ]. He hasn't questioned it though, it's probably because he wants to try and repay me. I was just walking to the forest to collect plants and fiber I need. I also need to collect wood and fruits for my family, I can't do much so my sister Tuuli and my friend [and assistant now] Lutz help me out a lot. I was walking to the forest with Lutz, and surprisingly Tuuli, Ralph and Fey. We barely met up with each other including everyone in our little group because of their apprentice work. Now, I most of the time have to gather. That doesn't mind me too much though, I can now go to the forest without being called a baby! I'm excited as I decide to join the conversation.
"...right Myne?" Lutz asked me, as I just joined the conversation. I assumed he was talking about the new apprentice work as a merchant. I was about to tell him don't think about it too much yet, when a noble carriage popped up. All of us were shocked, nobles hardly ever visited the village. When they do, they need something. The noble carriage kept on going, until they spotted us. They went our way, we were still frozen in shock.
"Myne!" A small girl in the carriage exclaimed happily. I was frozen in fear in what she might do to me. "You were reborn too?" That simple sentence, made everyone in the village stare at me.
"What do you want?" I said. "I don't do <noble's> work." Everyone stared at me because I disrespected a noble. Tuuli walked up to the noble and began apologizing profusely about my actions. I sighed, we should really stand up to the nobles now and days.
"Oh no, it's fine." The noble said thoughtfully. "I was just wondering if she wanted to sleep over at my house." Now, that got my attention. A noble, offering to do it? I decided to nod my head, there might be books there. Everyone I knew or didn't know stared at me with wide eyes.
"Myne!"
"You can't do that!"
"What about us?"
"What about everything we've been through?"
"What about trust?" The noble girl finally said something over all the disagreements. "You can bring 5 people with her, she will be able to return after a week." I thought it was a good deal so I nodded my head. My friends and family thought so too, but it ended up in a big debate on who would go with me. I only noticed a small boy in the carriage too after a while.
"Hey, what's your name." I said to the small boy. Many people, didn't pay attention. They were still in a debate. Only the noble girl payed attention, but she just smiled and did nothing as she nudged the small boy.
"It's a wonder no one asked my name." The girl said cheekily. "I'm Sray, and this is Dwayne."
