Third-person POV
Amy gives a strict glare to the person in front of her. "Jonas, I have been patient enough with you. I have given you everything I have to offer, but you keep spitting it on the floor, tell me what it is you want, maybe we can negotiate. I am a very successful lawyer and if you just talk to me, I'm sure we can find something that makes us both happy. Don't you want that?"
She tries her best to hide her desperation, but her voice cracks near the end. "How about a cookie, will you eat that?"
The baby in front of her drools a bit and laughs at his mother's faces. It's clear he has no idea what she is saying, but it doesn't stop her from talking to him like that. She lifts him out of his chair, and he starts squealing and laughing in her arms.
Walking over to the kitchen, she opens a box of cookies and hands him one. Immediately he grabs on and starts munching on it. It is going very slowly because not all his teeth have come in yet.
"Amy! If you're giving him cookies for breakfast again, I'm going to get mad." She hears her wife through the hall. Quickly, she takes the cookie out of his little hands and tries to hide it, but it is too late.
She marches in with a stern look on her face as she catches Amy cookies in hand.
"Okay, I'm sorry, but I can't say no to him." She kisses the boy in her arms and cuddles him against her chest. "He has his mother's hair and eyes, and you know how weak those eyes make me."
Christina takes the baby out of her hands and brings him back to his seat. "Make him eat the food we made, or he is never going to develop proper eating habits."
"I know, I know, but look at him babe, he's just so cute it makes me want to cry." Amy wraps her arms around Christina from behind as she starts to bring the food to their son's mouth.
"Where is Elliot?" She whispers against Christina's neck.
"He's already sleeping because I was able to make him eat his food and put him to bed right away, unlike someone who gets easily persuaded by pretty green eyes."
"You never complained when it was your pretty green eyes persuading me." She giggles as Amy bites her earlobe.
It has been 10 months since Christina gave birth to their twins and almost three years since they got married. After they both graduated, Christina proposed, and they were married when they were both 27 on the exact day that Amy kissed Christina on the porch 10 years earlier. A few months after the twins were born, they decided that they aren't going to have 3 children and that their two nightmares are enough to keep everyone busy.
When Jonas is done eating, Amy takes him to the room and sets him in the crib next to his brother.
As they lay there sleeping, she looks down on them, appreciating every second that they are in her life, loving Christina all the more for giving her these amazing children.
"They're not going anywhere if you look away." She turns to find her wife standing in the doorway, still amazed that after giving birth only 10 months ago, she looks almost exactly the same as when they first met. She gives Amy a soft smile as she reaches her hand out.
Taking It, they walk out to the porch together.
"Don't you need to get to work soon?" Christina asks as she plays with Amy's now short again hair.
"Not today, I can work from my home office the rest of the week, so I can be here with you and the boys."
A smile appears on Christina's face, Amy has had a lot of trouble with her parents in the past, and she tries her very best not to repeat their mistakes. She takes every chance she gets to spend time with her family, and it shows, Jonas and Elliot are cared for and constantly surrounded by two loving parents.
"You know, till this day I still find it funny how you were the one complaining about guys following me around constantly, but in the end it was a guy that was obsessed with you that actually became a problem." The amusement in Christina's voice is clear.
Amy rolls her eyes. "Is this really what you want to be doing right now? Proving to me that I was wrong?"
"Oh babe, I'm never going to pass up a chance to put you in your place." Laughing, Christina leans over and plants her lips on Amy's. Gently moving against her, she still gets amazed at how everything about this woman still excited her.
