Chapter 4

You arrived in Wyndon a few days later

Your mom had gotten you packed and ready for the opening ceremonies, and she promised she'd be watching from home.

You immediately strutted towards the stadium confidently

Wyndon was considered the "Pokemon League's Capital of the World", even though Castelia City in Unova technically was the Capital of everything. Unova was far too dangerous to be hosting the Champion Challenge.

As you entered the Lobby, One of the league officials waved at you

"You must be challenger Y/N! Right this way please!"

He took your bags and pointed towards the locker room

"Ok, thank you!"

You entered the locker room, and saw 4 other trainers in the room.

"Hey Y/N!" Marie shouted and waved at you, She was talking to another trainer.

"Oh, It's nice to meet you!" The girl was average height, with long blond hair and tan skin.

"Hi there! What's your name?"

"My name's Jinora, but you can just call me Nora."

"Ok! Nice to meet you Nora!"

"I hope we're all great friends!" Marie said enthusiastically "Also, your locker's over there Y/N."

She pointed to a locker with red and blue stripes, your name was written in big bold letters. Opened it to find your jersey inside of the locker, and you went to the changing room.

You walked out wearing the jersey, It had red and blue stripes, the jersey of a Kantonian Challenger.

You watched Callie, Marie's cousin walk out of the other changing room, she put her hands around her mouth and yelled,

"Everyone! I have an announcement to make!"

Everybody turned towards her and began listening

"The League Officials told us to introduce ourselves and get to know each other!!"

"Oh, ok! I can go first! My name is Y/N, and I'm from Kanto, can't wait to get to know all of you!!"

"Nice to meet you Y/N! I'm Callie, and I'm from Sinnoh. And over there is my cousin Marie!" She pointed to Marie and Marie waved at everyone

"Hi there! My name's Marie, and I can't wait to be a great trainer!"

"Hey guys, I'm Jinora, and I'm from Alola."

A girl with purple hair walked out of the corner, she looked very shy, yet she spoke up

"Hi....My name is Willow, I'm from Hoenn."

All of you had spoke except a boy playing his RotomPhone

"Um, Aren't you gonna introduce yourself?"

The boy got up and shrugged

"Hmph, I knew you would save the best for last. My name is Clay, Son of Champion Cassandra and Grandson of Cynthia. I'm a prodigy, and I can tell my "Rivals" are weak."

You could already tell this boy was cocky, and you wanted nothing to do with him.

The TV in the room sparked on, it was showing what was going on in the field.

You could see the League Chairman, Bede walk out onto the field.

He was much older than he looked. He had curly white hair in a ponytail and big purple eyes.

"Hello my lovely fans!!"

The crowd roared. Galar was known for its diehard fans. 

"Today is the beginning of this year's champion challenge!!!"

As you all watched, 2 league officials walked in and opened the doors to the field.

You were so nervous, the whole world was going to know your name! And yet, deep inside your heart, you knew. This was your destiny.

"So let's get it started!!"

You and the other challengers lined up at the door, you could hear the crowd screaming even louder than before.

"Alright everybody!! Meet your challengers!!!"

You walked out to the blinding lights and cheering crowd.

This is where your journey began.

-30 years ago-

The body of the professor lied in the corner of the room

"What a bonehead."

"We just need the info on the darkest day......."

The professor was the Champion's little brother. The Champion was still being searched for.

"Found the file, Let's go!!"

Walkie-Talkie static could be heard in the distance but a sentence was clear~

"The Unova Pokemon League just exploded."
