It was 1:00 in the morning and Star was sitting on the couch at Noah's place writing down a plan. She needed to figure out what she was gonna do for her album, how she wanted it to be and a lot more. Star couldn't believe how much work she was gonna need to get done and she knew with all that work it was gonna come with a lot of stress. It was time's like these where she wish she had her mother.

Flashback
Star was crying staring at her shoes. She was trying to learn how to tie her shoes and she was stressing herself out. Star was sitting on her bed in her room when her mother came in and saw her tears on her face.

Mary:Baby girl what's wrong?
Star:Mommy I can't do it.
Mary:Can't do what?
Star:I can't tie my shoes mommy. It's hard I don't know how.
Mary:Well mommy can do it for you.
Star:No mommy I wanna do it by myself.
Mary:Okay well undo the shoelace.

Star undid the shoelaces and Mary went and sat on the bed beside her daughter.

Mary:Okay now tie it back how you had it.

2 minutes later six year old Star finally got it and was relieved.

Star:I did it mommy.
Mary:You did baby mommy's so proud of you.
Star:You are?
Mary:Of course I am. But Star don't you ever doubt yourself and say you can't when you can. Everything is possible if you keep trying and don't give up. And if you ever need anything I'm always here and even when I'm not here I'm always here. Not only that but no matter the circumstances of any problem you have just know your going to always be okay.

Star snapped out of her thoughts when she heard the fridge close. Star looked over and saw Noah in the kitchen with a water. He made his way over to the living room couch where Star was and sat beside him.

Noah:Up at 1:00?
Star:I'm trying to come up with a plan for my album. I don't even know where to start I gotta come up with a name, a cover, how many songs, who I want on the album, all of this is hard.
Noah:Just think about how you got your whole project done before.
Star:I got that one out quickly only because everything came naturally. I said what I felt and I talked about the things that I went through and when I did it was all split up. Each album or Ep talked about certain situations or experiences. Then it was either boss vibes, regular vibes, depressing, heartbreak, happy, and meaningful songs on them. And now I don't know.
Noah:Stunt you can throw all of that into your next album.
Star:Yea I know but I might want to try and do something different as well.
Noah:Like what?
Star:Maybe in a way pay a little homage to my mother.

While half of Star wasn't too fond of her mother the other part still loved her. She had good times with her mother along with bad times as well. Times where Star would hear her mom and Brody fight every night, where her mother would do drugs and Brody would sometimes join in, how Star would cover Simones ears while Mary would cry from all the yelling, how her mother would do the drugs in front of Star and Simone then apologize, or how Star's mom would sometimes cry at night. Then there were the good times where Star would sometimes wake up to the smell of french toast Brody made, how her mother would take Simone and her to the park, how her mother would sometimes sing a song to her and Simone at night, or how her mother would try to constantly give vocal lessons to Simone and her, or the times where her mother would give her and Simone the best hugs.

Noah:Star?

Star snapped out of her thoughts when she heard Noah call her name.

Star:My bad I was thinking about something. What is it though?
Noah:I said in what way did you want to pay homage?
Star:I don't know, a song maybe. I have mixed emotions about her.
Noah:Yea I can kinda understand where you're coming from.
Star:You know I never got to know the infamous story of how Noah Brooks came to be. How did you up here?
Noah:It's a long story.
Star:We got time. Come on I wanna know.
