Tuesday 5:24 PM
As you and Matthew helped your mom pack things from the living room into boxes, you remembered something from last night. You set the last of the pictures into the box and stood up. “Hey mom, i’m just gonna go for a ride around town, is that okay with you?” You asked politely. “Of course honey, just don’t be gone for too long.” You smiled as you got ready to head out the door. “I will.” Before you walked out the door you caught a nervous glance from Matthew.
As you rode your bike down the street you remembered Matthew’s expression, it was burned into your mind, you couldn’t stop thinking about the way he looked at you, he looked so worried. Does he know what you’re planning? You shrugged the thought off as you continued down a few streets, if you remember correctly his house was two blocks away from yours. As you turned onto the street you saw him, your heart dropped into your stomach and your brain took control as he looked in your direction you quickly turned into someone else’s driveway and behind their house, you waited a few seconds as you felt your heart pounding out of your chest. You took a moment to collect yourself as you got off your bike and poked your head around the corner, seeing him walk off. You retracted back behind the house and reached into your pocket to grab a sharpie and a folded piece of paper, you unfolded it and started to write on it against the house. You wrote: ‘Mister Afton, I couldn’t find the courage to talk to you in person, but it’s been a while since we last spoke. You might remember me, but my name is y/n, y/n l/n, I know what happened when I was younger, but I have another problem that I can’t deal with myself. If you remember Tyler from the park, then I hope you know that this situation is very serious, i’m moving out in a few days and I would be grateful if you could talk to Tyler or his parents, that would mean a lot to me. -Y/n’ You sighed softly as you looked across the street at his house, you quickly jogged over and placed it on his doorstep. “Bye Will..” You murmured under your breath as you went home. A few moments later he opened the door and looked around, as he glanced at the note the first thing he noticed was your last name, he froze for a moment, his dark eyes drifted from the paper to the neighborhood, he furrowed his brows in thought, looking rather relaxed and composed, but at the same time wary and unsure of himself. He brought the note in and closed the door behind him.
As you parked your bike in the garage you opened the inner door and walked to the kitchen, taking the sharpie and putting it back into the cup on the counter, containing a variety of colorful sharpies, pens and markers. You walked to the living room where your mom was packing up all the fragile decorations in a delicate manner. “Hey mom. Where’s Matt? Wasn’t he helping you with packing?” you asked, a little out of breath. She carefully placed a large vase into the box and then turned to look at you. “Yeah he said he was taking a break, he’s upstairs.” “Okay, you need help with anything?” you asked like the good child you were. She took a moment to think. “I don’t think so.” “Alright.” You chirped as you headed upstairs to check on Matthew. “Hey Matt, what’s up?” You asked curiously as you peeked into the room, he was laying on the bed with a book in his hand. “Not much, just reading. Where did you go by the way?” You ignored his question. “Weren’t you helping my mom pack?” He looked at you. “I was taking a break.” You raised an eyebrow. “For ten minutes? I don’t believe it.” He sighed as he put a bookmark in the page and closed the book, sitting up. “Fine, i’ll come help.”
11:04 PM
You laid on a cold street, the rain was pouring down on your face, the realization sunk in when you sat up, you heard a distorted female voice crying behind you, turning your body to face the sound your expression turned to shock, there were two dark and almost ghostly figures. The male figure was lying on the street, a dark substance oozed from his abdomen, he appeared to be bleeding, the female figure was sitting beside him bent over as she cried, her voice sounded similar to static. ‘Hang on just a little while longer..’ You sat there, unsure what to think of this, but then at the end of the street you noticed one of the street lamps flickering, and another dark figure standing underneath it. You glanced at the couple, and back at the figure. “You can’t run.” The figure spoke in a monstrous voice, you grew speechless. This must be a dream. “Who are you!” You yelled. “You can’t escape.” Then suddenly like a banshee, the female figure started screaming as if in pain, starting to rock in place. “LEAVE ME ALONE!” Slowly, the voices faded away and you went back into a deep sleep.
Wednesday 7 AM
You woke up, feeling a bit disoriented as you slid out of bed, rubbing your tired eyes, the soft carpet tickled your feet as you walked downstairs, your dad, mom and Matthew were already awake. “Morning honey bun, did you sleep well?” You stepped down the last step as your legs threatened to give out on you, but you resisted the temptation to pass out on the floor. “It was alright, I had a weird dream though.” Matthew took a quick glance at you, then back at the Tv, you thought it was kind of odd for him to do. “Alright, I’m off.” Your dad said with a soft grunt as he stood up from the couch. Your mom stood up to give him a kiss and he turned to give you a hug. “You behave for your mother, I know it’s been short but i’ll see you again.” he smiled warmly as he gave you a tight but gentle hug. “I’ll see you in a while, angel.” He said in your ear as you tightened your grip on him, you didn’t want to let him go. He backed up and ruffled your hair, you smiled. “Bye dad, I love you.” He smiled warmly. “Love you beanbug.” Those were his last words as he walked out the door. Your mom looked over at you and frowned, putting a hand on your shoulder. “Come on honey, we need to pack up for tomorrow.”
Thursday 8 AM, Moving day
As you, Matthew and your mom packed everything into the moving van you felt like all of your fear had melted away, like you weren’t scared anymore, but at the same time you still felt like something was tugging at you, pulling you towards it. You weren’t sure what you were feeling anymore, you weren’t sure if you could trust yourself. As you brought a large box out to the van something caught your eye. You quickly avoided Tyler’s gaze and put the box in the back of the van and moved it further in, being careful not to push it too quickly. “Good morning Miss l/n.” He yelled dully from across the street. Your mom looked over to him, narrowing her eyes slightly. “Good morning young man, I hope you haven’t been giving your parents any trouble.” She said in a serious tone as she slightly raised an eyebrow. “No ma’am. I was just wondering if you would let me talk to your daughter.” He said calmly with his hands in his pockets, you grew uncomfortable as you pretended not to hear and walked back into the house to get more boxes. Your mom examined your expression as you walked past her and almost immediately knew what you were thinking. She looked back over to Tyler with a stern face. “Y/n doesn’t want to talk right now.” Tyler managed a straight face. “If she needs someone to talk to, I can-” “Stay away from my daughter Bennet, she’s had enough problems. Now go home.” She said coldly, you could barely hear her from inside the house, but you knew she sounded serious, assuming he left you poked your head out of the door and looked at your mom. “Is he gone?” You asked quietly, she turned around to look at you. “Yes, he’s gone. Now come on, we’re nearly done.” You wished Tyler would forget about you.
