You have been in America for 10 years. You had made some close friends that you didn't want to leave, but your parents wanted you to go to UA so you had to go back to Japan. You had made a plan with your friends that they will visit you when you go to Japan. You still had the gifts that Shoto gave you when you left but you doubt that you will ever get to see him again, so you just never thought of looking for him when you got there. During the time you had lived in America you had to learn Spanish because most of your family spoke it. You would be living by yourself in a small apartment because your parents still had some work to do in America. Your mom went with you to just help you settle in, She would leave when you start school. You were on your way to your new home from the airport.
Time skip
Today is the day you got the letter from UA to find out if you passed or not. You doubt you would pass because there were people who did better than you. You were in your room with your mom outside wanting to know if you passed or not. Opening the envelope you saw the principal saying you had passed, and with that, you ran out of your room screaming that you passed. Your mom was so excited that you both were jumping up and down crying. That was the most you and your mom ever interacted with each other. Your family isn't that close to each other, so it is hard for you to open up to them. The only person you opened up to was Shoto and your best friend f/n.
