Vanessa didn't sleep anymore that night. When she looked at the clock it was 2:02 am. She got up, stripped her bed and proceeded to clean everything up. Teary eyed she gathered the bedding and headed down the hall to the laundry, making sure to close the door so the machines don't wake anyone and on to shower and remake her bed.
Her tears stopped in the shower and she thought about getting into bed with Liam. But then she felt bad for wetting the bed on purpose. She just can't stop herself. And there is what she did with, to Liam.
"Just go talk to GiGi, Ah-Ah. You know, she'll be angry with you that you are feeling like you are and not talking about it.", Liam scream whispered at her as he dragged her down the path toward one of the smaller vineyards.
"Liam, you're hurting me.", Vanessa jerks away from his grasp, "And you don't know anything about how I feel."
Liam just reaches out and recaptures her like he never let go and picks her up, looks her straight in the eye and doesn't back down. They are far enough away for a bit of privacy now.
"Are you going to stop being overly dramatic and just talk to GiGi?", Liam starts to calmly but sternly say to her. Because now looking in her eyes and registering that this is different. "Why are you so afraid of talking to GiGi?"
"I -", she's trembling at this point.
This is how it's been. School started. They had so much less time together and it seems that she's always "doing something" when he wants to be alone with her and check in. She's been more withdrawn around everyone.
"Ah-Ah, come on. Why have you gotten so difficult all of a sudden?", Liam is beginning to feel exasperated with Vanessa.
"What we did- -", tears start to fall and she shakes, "was - -", she breaks off.
"Ah-Ah. Look at me. Right now.", Liam is done with all of this. His voice has suddenly deepened.
Vanessa doesn't look up. His voice made her wet a little as she felt a tug in her tummy. Her thinking is fuzzy and confused and now the tears are really falling and she sticks her thumb into her mouth. That's all she can do at the moment.
"Ah-Ah, it's okay.", Liam says stroking her cheek. His deep voice and his hand stroking her cheek are making it all somewhat better. Liam pulls Ah-Ah into him and just holds her, rubbing her back, feeling her relax. This is what she's been needing. Just a little Li-Li time, but she still feels guilty. She starts to fidget as her panties are now damp, not the fist time today.
They'd always rutted around together as kids because it felt good. But this, what happened that night was different. Their reaching orgasm like that had never happened and Vanessa knew exactly what she was doing.
She'd felt him underneath her bottom as their chat began to drift, sleep was starting to pull her, but Liam is hard. "I'd like to play.", she thought, but she also had to pee.
Liam had been stroking her tummy with his thumb making the urgency more acute in her bladder making her wiggle, with each wiggle Liam's thumb would tease, which lead to Vanessa's hand going between her legs to hold herself because she knew it was too late.
But her reach went way between because she felt like a dam would burst and her fingers touched Liam and his hips jutted forward, grinding between her cheeks harder. And she kept her hand there because it felt good to her and Liam seemed to appreciate it. And then she knew she could hold it no longer. She flexed her hips back and ground into Liam's crouch while letting go.
"I know you're confused about a lot of things right now. We're just growing up. All of this is natural and GiGi is waiting for you.", Liam has pushed her arms length from him at the last little bit.
"She isn't my mom.", she finally just states blankly and plainly.
Liam honestly doesn't know what to say. Vanessa, Ah-Ah, has never said anything like this before in their lives.
"What did you just say, Ah-Ah!?", Liam's voice is deep and irritated.
"What we did isn't something that siblings do. What we've been doing forever isn't what siblings do, but everyone looks at us as siblings, even though we are not. And it feels so wrong, but I can't stop. I don't want to stop. Any of it. But - -", all of it just tumbles out of Vanessa without any emotion.
"This would be a reason to make me leave. I have no right to be here or feel like I belong, because I really don't do I."
Liam honestly didn't know where this was coming from. He looked at her expression for clues. Her eyes were a bit unfocused like she was somewhere else. Zoned out and not really engaged in the here and now. Like she was looking past Liam at something else out in the distance. Like he did not exist.
"Ah-Ah, never say things like that again!", Liam screamed at Vanessa.
She just stood there looking at him, taking him in, blinked away, coming back to him, with one final sad glance and bowed her head. He just gathered her in his arms and cradled her head.
She didn't move. He knew she wanted to disappear. But not like usual.
"Please, don't say anything to anyone, Li-Li, about what I said, Please.", Ah-Ah begins strong but ends with a whine. He knows she needs a cuddle and has been denying both of them the closeness they need. What happened, happened. And he was hurt and confused, "Why would she think what they did was so wrong?"
"Am I not special enough, Ah-Ah?", Liam asks softly, so much doubt under his new found bravado.
"No, Li-Li, no!", Vanessa blurts almost hysterical, getting wound up.
"You are the most special person in the world to me. You know that. I- Just, please.", she pleads and ends with Lil-Li picking her up in a hug and taking them both back toward the house.
She came back to herself, the warm steam of the shower always soothed her and helped her think a bit clearer She knew she wouldn't sleep any more and decided to do her homework quietly in her room. She hopped out of the shower refreshed, got dried and dressed. She knew algebra would be the easiest to get out of the way, so she got done with that and then attempted to work on her french congregation assignment after struggling with it forever. She had some US History to tackle which was not her most favorite. By the time she was finishing up annotating a section of the Gettysburg Address the first sighs of the imminent sun rise cast light and shadows around her room.
She was hungry. She hadn't eaten all that much the last week. Thinking that the house would still be quiet at this hour. She decided to head down and at least get a bowl of cereal.
GiGi was in the kitchen at the sink waiting. She'd heard the girl. She always did.
