Chrollo's Perspective~
I sat in my chair on top of a mound of rubble and debris, book in hand, trying to occupy myself long enough to distract my thoughts about the chain user. I wondered how long it would take before he'd crack; I'd already known it would be a struggle- but it's been more of one then I'd most expected it to be. It's been a few weeks. Each of the Spider's alternated between turns of torturing him. I hadn't known much of what they do- only of what they tell me, but from the I gathered, the Troupe was quite displeased at how their harsh tactics weren't working how they intended it to; from a slight distance, I heard the interrogation's room door shut, and looked up from my novel to see whose turn it was.
I noticed it was Feitan and finger motioned him to come over- him having seen me, made his way carefully to where I was; and with that, arose from my seat and began to descend, meeting him halfway from where I was. Once we reached a meeting point, we both sat down on the debris of the abandoned building.
"Were you successful?" I inquired, observing the shorter male, I already knew what the answer was going to be, yet I still asked, because I needed to hear this from Feitan himself.
"No... Luck." The member responded gently, shaking his head disapprovingly, his tone collective and peaceful. I began to grow tired of waiting for Kurapika to crack; with that, I was losing hope that he'd ever give in. However, my fortune says he will divulge defeat to me. There must be a way to make him confess; I reflected on the future, evaluating other possibilities until one had come to mind.
"The chain, user... does not react," Feitan revealed more to me, as I concentrated on the words he spoke. I didn't want to miss a single detail expressed to me. "he goes until his body gives out." Feitan carried on his sentence, I knew the male was aggressive, but I'd never imagined he'd go over his body's limit- giving out before his words would confess.
"Then, he... blacks out." His tone was tranquil and tedious; nevertheless, it was apparent that Feitan had to have been feeling detested with the circumstances. "That's clear, thank you," I replied to the other serenely; Kurapika was a struggle I'll profess, though his ill will wouldn't be enough to stop me from making him mine.
"The only time he reacts is when," Feitan articulated on about the chained up male in the interrogation room; "he's asleep." He studied me as we were talking. Nightmares? I thought for a brief second if nightmares were the only way to get through to him. I remembered years ago; I'd taken this nen ability that enabled you to cross over into a desired person's dreams; there were no repercussions, as you could do whatever you pleased. "He's rather taciturn," I announced my thoughts to the fellow Troupe member sitting beside me; our conversation was phlegmatic, yet intense, scratching the surface an average person would assume it was casual, while this event was furthermore than relaxed. Each day that went by, I grew more frustrated that we couldn't get him to break.
"I'm growing aggravated at how hard it is to make him crack," I sigh, averting my gaze to the ground before returning to study Feitan's face.
"What would you suggest, Feitan?" While attending to the males' expressions and response, I queried, awaiting an answer, while the Spider thought for a long second, placing a distant pause between us, before coming back. My thoughts roamed off to the chain user once more.
"I don't believe torture will work any longer," Feitan suggested sedately after our moment of silence. As I previously evaluated, I knew torture wouldn't have been a tactic for long term status. Nonetheless, there was a slight hope that it might've worked, although at least the Troupe members got the chance to unleash their indignation onto Kurapika for killing the Spiders.
"Do you... really want him to become a... member?" The male with black hair gaped his eyes to my face. I traced a light aura of annoyance seeping from him; having said that, I'd known he was only doing this because I wanted him too, moreover, for his selfish reasoning. "Yes." answering the question he'd inquired, my tone calm.
"Maybe... what you're looking for is," Feitan paused once more in thought, I waited patiently in no rush of the others' replies, having known he was struggling with his Japanese. "what's the word again..," he questioned himself, squinting his eyes in thought.
"An obsession." he expressed monotonously and confident. Feitan sounded assured he'd picked the right word, even if it wasn't the right word- It still sat differently, as he made a valid point. I remained hung to his words moments after it's expression.
"An obsession..."
"Obsession..."
"Perhaps." My lips curled to a weak sinister smile, and with that, an idea formulated into my intellect.
