Atlas Academy; Headmaster Office
Y/N

Rubbing the sleep out of my eyes, Clover brings up hologram screens with the mission details. Currently in General Ironwood's office, I stood next to Qrow in front of one of the screens.

"All right, gather 'round." Clover instructed. "Our mission today is to secure the launch site for the Amity Communications Tower." He started. "The designated area is an abandoned Dust mine. Since its closure, the Grimm have moved in." He explained.

"The good news is all that untouched Dust is still down there, too. Science team says they'll need it for the first phase of their launch." He added. "Atlas military Huntsmen are already hard at work clearing out the surrounding tundra. But recon has identified a powerful Geist that's managed to evade destruction and take several lives."

"After we increased our numbers, the Geist was smart enough to retreat into the mine itself, meaning it's old and extremely dangerous." He warned.

Taking out his scroll and with a press of a button, a photograph of Huntsmen battling the Grimm to take up the entirety of each screen."This is our target." He revealed.

The screens collapsed as a hologram map of the mines replace it. "The mine was a labyrinth back in the day. There's all sorts of tunnels and chambers the Geist can move between, so if we're gonna kill this thing, we'll have to split up and corner it." He outlined.

"General Ironwood says you've seen your fair share of combat. I trust that man with my life, so tomorrow, I'll be trusting you all, too." He adjourned.

KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK

"Pietro?!" I call from the other side of the door. Before I could knock again, the doors slide open and I was met with a smiling Pietro. "Y/N! Just as I was about to come and get you! Come in, come in." He gestures me into the lab.

The door closes behind me upon entering the lab. "Has everyone gotten their gear already?" I ask, giving him my full attention. "They have. Now it's your turn." He says making his way deeper into the lab.

"Are there any specifics for your gear or for your weapon?" He asks as I follow closely behind. "I do, actually." I replied. "And... uhm... do you think you can concoct something that is something similar to hair dye?" I ask him with hopeful eyes.

"If you're adding that to the list, kiddo, then we should get ourselves a cup of joe for the long night!" Pietro joked. "Okay then! Are we gonna start now? Or should we start off with refreshments?"

. . .

"Alright! Let's make it happen, people." Clover spoke on the comms. Down below, the Atlas tundra is in full view. "Hey, kid!" Qrow calls out to me. "We're dropping in soon." He reminded.

"Right." I stood and stretched every muscle in my body. Suddenly, Qrow walks up to me and ruffles my hair. Disgruntled, I push his hand away. "That was uncalled for, Qrow..." I grumbled.

"Just like the new look." Qrow smiled. "I can't mess around with it?" He continued. "You shouldn't be messing with me at all, Qrow..." I muttered as the mine closes in.

"We'll be going down through that incline." Clover points out. Without saying another word, one by one we dropped from the airship and slid down the slope. "This is Alpha squad. LZ's clear. Proceeding on foot." Clover contacted the other teams.

"You've all got fancy new Scrolls, so don't forget to use 'em. Keep your eyes and ears open. I want an update if you encounter the target. Alpha out." Clover concluded. Turning to face us, he gestures to the interior of the mine.
