It had been a long day, productive but long day. You had finished all of your homework and had got new school supplies for your final year at Hogwarts. You trudged your books back to Malfoy Manor, the place where you had spent much of your summer. Your family was very close with the malfoys as you parents were in the same year as each other, but also because you and Draco were dating.

It had been a rather difficult summer for Draco. He knew that he would have to serve the dark lord, especially since he had failed to kill Dumbledore last school year. The only thing really keeping him sane right now was you. In a way he was envious of you. You came from what people would call a nice and respectable family, you could go out and about without anyone staring at you or the ministry of magic sending dementors to find you and take you away. That was the life Draco wanted to live but all he could do was sit in his bedroom waiting for you to come home.

You unlocked the large front door and took your shoes off as you stepped inside. A house elf came to greet you and take your bags from you but you declined the offer and headed upstairs. Dracos door was open but only by an inch from him probably listening into the conversations said between the dark lord and everyone else in this house. The books, however, were way too heavy for you to overthink about it. You ran to the door. Barged through it, so that it hit the dresser and dropped all the books with a Big Bang. "You know, if I held them for any longer, I probably would have broken my back and would have crushed to death" you spoke slightly out of breath. You looked up at Draco to see him tilt his head to the side in confusion but his lips played up into a smile. "Don't be dramatic" He laughed. "You're one to talk mister my father will hear about this". You clapped back. He just rolled his eyes and laid down on the bed. "You could have just used magic you know". He spoke up around 5 minutes later. "I know that dummy, but the whole world doesn't revolve around magic." You answered. You heard him laugh and mumble "it does though" but chose to ignore it and continue on putting the books away.

At was around 10pm when you found yourself tucked under Draco's arm, on his balcony. The two of you had spent the last few hours talking and reading under a blanket. You took a deep breath, taking in the cool summer air. You and Draco both were somewhat fighting under the blanket. When you would pull it over you more, Draco did the same thing. However he was stronger then you and ended up with most of the blanket. The two of you ended up playing a rubbish version of tuck of war. In the end you had enough and stood up with the blanket, sat down on the opposite end of the balcony and gave him a jokingly harsh stare. "Steal my blanket one more time and I swear to god I will put my cold feet on you". Draco couldn't help but laugh at the sight of you. Blanket around your head, glare on your features , but looking like a toddler who wasn't aloud some sweets. He made his way over to you and nicked the blanket off of you, like you had him. "It's actually myyy blanket. Get your own". Was his childish reply. He ran inside with blanket and locked the door. "Dracooooo" you screamed banging on the door. All he could do double down in laughter, replaying the image of your face in his head when he locked the door. He only calmed down when he remembered you were outside and extremely annoyed. When he unlocked the door, he ran straight out of his room and down the stairs with you following, screaming, threatening and cursing him but he wouldn't have it any other way.
