"NOW!" Jason commanded his friends from the cave ceiling, his hands fizzling with electricity.

Frank immediately turned himself into a great grizzly and charged, Hazel beside him with her Spatha. Piper's jagged blade was drawn as she jumped forward to protect Nico.

Percy was forced to his knee with Jason's lightning strike, the Trident fell down to the water. However, with inhuman strength he viciously met Frank's claws with his own fist, sending the attack back as he quickly met Hazel's Spatha in the air.

Losing their illusion, the monsters quickly realized their presence and charged furiously- where they were met with the deafening war cries of the Romans. Overcoming their initial shock of Reyna's defeat, the Romans abandoned their position and advanced against the monsters and Percy Jackson.

Jason saw Piper desperately fending off the monsters, protecting the wounded Nico. He quickly avoided the Merfolk's arrows and directed his thunderbolts against the hordes of monsters. For the umpteenth time, he offered a small prayer to Jupiter that his lightning bolts couldn't hurt his own allies. The saltwater in the cave would have shocked his friends otherwise.

Freed from the rampaging monsters, Frank and Hazel repeatedly attacked Percy, keeping him busy. Jason grabbed Nico from Piper's protection and flew him to the shore, where Will's eyes widened in horror when seeing Nico's wound.

"Keep him alive! I have to stop Percy!" Jason shouted, but even then Will has chanted healing songs to stop Nico's bleeding.

As he flew toward the center of the battle, Jason quickly realized that Reyna and Nico's defeat had completely turned the battle in Percy's favor. The invigorated sea forces have stormed the shores in droves, and the water kept rising, flooding the defensive lines and allowing the sea monsters to move faster and attack with stronger strikes due to the sea's blessing.

Most importantly, the monsters are now summoned more quickly. Percy was too occupied with fighting both Nico and Reyna. Although Jason knew that Hazel and Piper are formidable fighters in their own rights, Reyna is far stronger than any of them. Frank may be stronger than Nico, but the Underworld is Nico's home turf. He would've been stronger than Frank here.

And Percy managed to beat them both alone.

Come on, Leo, any minute now...

Jason aimed a lightning bolt toward Percy, but this time Percy was ready. From the water, his Trident instantly appeared in his hand and deflected the lightning toward Frank. The blast paralyzed Frank.

Piper and Hazel furiously attack Percy to stop him from doing anything to Frank.

Their combined attacks worked well enough, but Percy still managed to slip through their defenses. Angry, Jason summoned a wind spirit to ram Percy. The precious second he used to decapitate the Ventus allowed Jason to enter his sword range.

"It's four on one now," Jason said. "You don't have any chance."

Percy smiled sadly.

"I thought you were my friends."

"We are your friends. But you're not well, Percy. We need you to calm down."

"I am calm. Help me take back Annabeth's soul from Hades, and everything will be alright..."

Jason grit his teeth and looked at his friend with a pained expression. "Percy, if you and Hades fought, the world will end. Please stop this. Please accept the truth."

"What truth?!" Percy shouted angrily. "That Annabeth is gone? What a load of Cerberus shit! She's Annabeth! She's my Annabeth, and she said to me that... she promised... that... we would... "

"She promised you that she would be your wife, Percy..." Piper said tenderly. "We understand."

Percy looked at the daughter of Aphrodite with pained eyes. "No. She said that I would be a father, Piper."

The silence following Percy's words were absolute. The battlefield came to a standstill. They were dumbfounded.

"But... when..." Frank stuttered.

"A pair of twins," Percy spat bitterly.

"Gods be good... " Piper whispered.

"It doesn't matter anymore." Percy said, returning to his cold, composed expression.

"But..." Hazel said.

"It doesn't matter unless I can get her back from Hades," Percy repeated, his gaze clear and mad. "If you can't or won't help me, I don't care. Step aside. That's all that I ask. Step. Aside. As. I. Save. Annabeth. And. My. Children."

Frank was astounded. Hazel was frozen. And Piper was on her knees, muttering prayers.

Jason stepped forward.

"Percy, Hades doesn't have Annabeth's soul." Jason said, calmly, sadly. "I'm very sorry. I checked. Annabeth's soul fell into Chaos. She can't come back."

"Then we have nothing left to say," Percy stated.

That very moment, the walls behind Percy shone brightly with red and gold light, illuminating the dark cave with warm brilliance. For Jason, the light was expected and welcomed. For Percy, it was a complete surprise.

Percy turned away from his friends for a single millisecond.

Had Jason struck Percy with his sword, Percy would have been able to respond appropriately. His armors would have stopped Jason's sword. His wounds would have instantly healed. He could have blown Jason away with his Trident.

But that millisecond allowed Jason a single window to use his final weapon.

Hidden within the core of his sword, his final gift from Jupiter. Jupiter's Lightning Bolt- granted to a mortal willingly for the first time in history.

With a blinding light, the son of Jupiter pierced the son of Poseidon's heart. And all was still.
