This is the last part in perspective, and I hope you like it :)
Turn it down! As she blasts the same music over and over again, I watch from my tiny corner, hidden out of sight. I watch from my small enclosure, as she turns the music up even louder, glances down at her phone and realizes that it's already up all the way. Jamming out to some more Christmas music, she pretends to be cleaning up her room when really she's just listening to the same song over and over and over again until she knows every note, lyric and riff. Remember when she used to pay attention to her beloved books? I don't. I watch as she sits down on her bed, listening to Sam Smith serenading her with their lovely melodies. I should feel lucky though. At least it's not Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson or One Direction this moment. Though, next on the agenda is those very people. Most of the time that's all I hear. I feel the dust gathering on my spine, having not been touched in weeks. She glances over at my space sparking a flame of joy. Is she going to pick me up? She walks over in my direction. And straight past me to pick up the strewn clothes. She glances at my shelf, eyes wandering over all of the familiar titles she sees. Her finger brushes each spine, just missing mine. Underneath my hardcover, lies the memories she doesn't want to relive. I get it. I mean, no hard feelings. But can't she love all of her books? She walks away, becoming enraptured in the mixture of voices she hears from her phone. That music saves her from the thoughts. So I understand. But I want to help her too. I can transform her messy old bedroom with random stickers of the people who save her into a place where nothing goes wrong, into another world. Why doesn't she know this. She packs up her stuff and slips down under her sheets where the thoughts keep her awake for hours. She looks one last time over at my enclosure and closes her eyes, wanting to never wake up again.
